Brilliant! It was OK straight out of the box
Looking at how to collimate my telescope (130mm Newtonian) I was afraid, very afraid. Looking at the on-line instructions I couldn't be sure if what I was seeing was as described. In the end I decided to get a laser collimator, this one. I chose this one because the collimation of the laser itself can be adjusted. I needn't have worried, I got the instrument on an engineers v-block and checked the dot position over 20 feet. Rotated the collimator and the red dot stayed in the same place. Brilliant! It was OK straight out of the box.Used the collimator on my telescope and found I needed a small tweak on my secondary mirror and then a bit of a bigger tweak on my primary mirror. For a first attempt I was done in less than 5 minutes. The instructions are in German but there's plenty of tutorials on YouTube or the 'net.Would easily recommend.

Great product
Great product for collimation

Easy to use and well made BUT.......
It arrived when it was set to arrive but only arrived in a large bubble insulated bag. It looked and is made of robust aluminium and looked up to the job from the start, BUT IT WAS NOT COLLIMATED WHEN IT ARRIVED!.The reason I bought this Bresser collimator was that it could itself could be collimated if it got knocked out of alignment, but I did did hope it would not need to be collimated on arrival. This was easy to do but did take a little time and after checking the alignment of my secondary mirror, I used the collimator to confirm my visual setup of the main mirror. If I knew I would have to go through the collimation of this collimator when I ordered it, I would have still ordered it but it would have been better not to - but it is being delivered and bumped around. As an extra note, Bresser customer services are easy to reach and even if it does take a few hours, they will come back with information etc to help you with your Bresser product.

I guess it's fine
My primary has a sticker in the middle.. an O ring sticker ?! So I should remove it to get this working.. I'm sure it's a handy tool... need to clean my primary (yuk ! not at all keen in case I mess up the coating!)
