Fun and engaging
Great Christmas gift for a 14 yr old. Such a fun concept and engagement for a break from electronics. A bit on the cheaper side once put together but over all worth the purchase! Will be buying for my nieces and nephews once they are a bit older.

Don’t depend on online instructions
It’s hard to read the paper instruction, so I thought I’d go to the online instruction. The online instruction have the same name as the paper instructions, RDA5807, but they are not the same, different PC Cards, different parts. The online instruction say to install a 4.7 ohm resistor at the R7 position, there is no 4.7 ohm resistor in the parts I received, where the paper instructions says to install a 510 ohm resistor at R7. First photo is the online PC Card, second photo is the PC Card I received. Third photo is the online schematic, fourth picture is the schematic I received. So I have to wonder, though it looks like an FM Radio, maybe this is exactly what the discription says it is, “Soldering Practice Kit DIY Electronic Kits Digital DIY Soldering Project Kit ISolderStore”, and not an FM Radio, and this is why the instructions are different.

Good soldering project
It is and excellent simple soldering projects for kids (10 - 12 years old). Parents can enjoy spending time with the kids, helping them. The manual instructions are hard to read. They can hardly be read.

Fun but wrong components sent
This radio was fun to build and works. The issue I faced was the four 100uF 16V capacitors I got with my kit were too tall. Because they were tall and not the shorter ones I should have gotten, I was not able to fit the clear plastic shell around the radio to cover it, so it sits on a desk without the case it came with. If you are reading this, you can order some shorter 100uF 16V capacitors prior to putting your kit together if you happen to end up with the longer ones like I did, then your case should fit without issue.Overall fun kit, shell just didn't fit due to the length of the capacitors I received in my kit.

Fun small project
It's a fun little project to put together. Took me a few hours just taking my time but it works good. I'd make sure to check your resistors before soldering as I did have a bad one but had a replacement.

No instructions that are readable
The instructions say scan the QR code on the product but when you do it takes you to a website where you then have to scan more QR codes and pick the item that you have however this radio does not have an matching item for instructions and the instructions they send with it are so small you can't even see them

Nice Kit Radio
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice little radio. Purchased one for each of my kids as a family Christmas project, and one for myself as a trial run. As others have stated, the instructions are garbage, but the screen print on the board is pretty self explanatory. The only useful part I found was the parts list to verify everything is accurate. Also, the color bands on the resistors were wrong, but checked with a multimeter before installing. They were correct, but labeled them so I knew which was what. Also, the 16v 100mf capacitors are too tall to enclose in the case. I used a sharpie to mark locations, and drilled out holes so they could protrude through cover. In hindsight another option might be to leave the leads long and bend them over to fit. Overall, I'm very pleased. Would have been 5 stars with some improvement on the above.
