My son loves it!
It's a great sled for the current price of $35, now that winter is over. I paid $49 in January 2017.I had the opposite of what some of the other reviewers complained about. Mine came with 3 of the handbrakes, one extra. My son, who had just seen the Disney Moana movie at that time decided to use the extra handbrake as a Maui's fish hook. Bonus! The sled held up fine at the snow hill. The only area that showed some stress in the plastic was where the pull handle ties to the front of the sled, which is a result of me pulling the sled while my son was sitting inside it. I was lifting the front of the sled upwards while pulling due to the short length of the rope. If the rope was longer it would not have been lifting the front of the sled which then would also reduce the stress on the plastic there in the front. The rope originally was just through the front hole with a knot tied on the underside. This knot pulled through when first pulling my son. I undid the knot and tied a slip knot to the front hole. I also tied an extra knot at the other end through the handle to prevent that from slipping through as well. There were other kids at the snow hill with cheaper/thinner sleds which had actually shattered into pieces. I guess they couldn't handle the sub freezing temperature that day. No issues from the cold for this Slippery Racer. Oh, as a testament to it's durability, I actually flipped off of my sled behind my son who had just gotten off of this sled, my body rolled in the air sideways and I came down hard landing across this Slippery Racer on my right side, shoulder and elbow. Man, that hurt! Nothing happened to this sled. The steering wheel and front ski doesn't physically turn that much but it does in fact steer the sled going downhill in the snow. The great thing about having a front ski is that you don't have to worry about spinning in circles or going down backwards like the cheaper sleds with no steering.Careful though not to over steer as this will result in flipping this sled. My son only did that once and seemed to get the hang of it thereafter.I was originally going to order the Lucky Bums brand of this sled but when comparing pictures and information from their relative web sites I decided to go with the Slippery Racer brand. There were too many complaints of missing parts for the Lucky Bums and the plastic just looked a little cheaper. Otherwise they seem to be identical in size and shape.

It broke immediately
My son wanted this for his birthday. I ordered it in February. His birthday was March. It's been too long since I ordered it so I can't return it now. It didn't snow until today in April. On the second slide down the steering wheel snapped.

Poor quality control
1sled had the from runner on backwards the other sled would not align the main steering rod and cracked the housing on install. Will see if the kid enjoy but quality control needs attention. Thinking of returning 1 so I have one assembled right with no flaws

Not a good sled
This sled doesn't slide smooth or at all. I got it last year. Didn't have much snow here so couldn't understand the quality well at that time. But trying it again it's really horrible. My child is frustrated and angry; now I have to spend more money to buy another sled. It's a waste of money.

Brakes break
1st trip out one hand brake broke and today just over a month after getting it for Christmas the 2nd one has snapped. I can't seem to find anywhere to get replacements for it. The pull handle also broke off. It sleds but the bells and whistle don't hold up.
