working good so far, a study item

I've recently gotten into the hobby of binding fan fiction and searched all over for a nice, sturdy book press. I was wary of ordering this one because there are so few reviews, but the others on Amazon I've seen either have bad reviews or were reviewed badly on the Facebook group I'm in so I knew not to get them. I didn't want to make my own, so without many other options, I went ahead and took a shot on this one. I love it so far! It's sturdy, it doesn't feel like it's gonna crack, and I've tightened it super tight on two books now. How it will hold up over time remains to be seen, and if something terrible happens I'll update this review, but so far I'm very happy. If you're another fanfic binder looking for an affordable pre-made press, I say go for this one!

This was exactly what I was looking for! High quality, well constructed parts. The two boards are heavy duty bamboo that are perfectly flat and smooth. The hardware is simple but perfect. It came pre-assembled and well packaged so all the pieces fit together and it works! Looking forward to using this for years to come.

I like it, well made, but I just make order pads and the nut in between the 2 bamboo pieces is bigger than my note pad, so it is kind of useless as far as clamping it down for drying etc... but it is well made and would work well for larger pads or books.

While simple in its design, this is an excellent made book press. The wing nuts are well-machined and easy to tighten and the bamboo is solid along with the rest of the hardware. After a couple of quick test runs, I was happy with the results. Works great on standard letter head pages folded in half.

This book press is very well made and reliable. The wing nuts tighten down evenly with significant force to press books flat with efficiency. The wood is soft, yet strong, providing a quality surface that gives the results you want and need. This is well worth the investment, a very well deserved 5 stars.

This thing is really sturdy. Unfortunately, with the bolts being placed where they are it really reduces the surface area, and therefore the size of a book that you can use it for.

Should work on my smaller books, but I was looking at using it to spray my hardcovers which are a bit larger. All together it looks very nice and easy to use
