QUALITY, VALUE & COMFORT
I have a completely different review from all of the reviews that I have read. I am one hundred percent happy with this particular Drop Foot Brace. I have age related Osteoporosis. I went to my Orthopedic Doctor five years ago because of pain in my right ankle and swelling. I found out I had broken a bone. When I returned a month later for a check up, I found that I had two new broken places in my ankle. Five surgeries later, I had an ankle fusion, a sub Taylor joint fusion and all my toes have pins in them along with rods, screws and nails in my lower leg. I have very bad muscle spasms every night along with nerve damage. I've had the very expensive metal brace which caused even more pain. I've had various cloth braces that are a total waste of time and money. The Velcro always Falls apart. This is the ONLY Brace that works for me. It's durable and provides me with support while being very comfortable at the same time! I am very very pleased to give this brace for drop foot, I have to wear these on both my feet. They are thick but not that much thicker than the other fabric braces. I now have an inch difference in leg length and I wear an expensive addition on to the right shoe to even out my leg length difference. Excellent Drop Foot Braces... Five Star Rating!

Good support
This is the second brace of this type that I have bought. This has longer "handles" that raise the drop foot a bit more than the other one that I have. It will however, not fit in my shoes even though I have a size larger due to neuropathy. The bandaging is too thick once it is on. Neuropathy and drop foot are not a good combo. Anyway, the brace. I wear it around the house, and it provides better stability for my foot. At times I am able to walk without my canes because the brace also provides extra balance. And when my ankle bothers me, it provides some protection and compression comfort. I cannot wear it for more than three hours at a time because of my symptomology but it is well worth it at other times.

Hard to put on
This is not a great product for an elderly woman who struggles with balance and sight issues. Very tough to get it secured comfortably. It did not fit in her shoe. Unfortunately we had to return it.

Surpised, it works
Well, color me surprised. I have been in an AFO for years, I started in one I purchased here on Amazon, and it worked great, for a while but as my drop foot and ankle got worse, I got a prescription from my doctor to get an expensive top-rated metal brace. That was Da Bomb for a couple of years, but then, the tendons in my ankle atrophied to the point that I needed a prescription for a HARD-SIDED AFO boot. The boot was very cool for a long time and still is, the problem with the boot is this, I had to find shoes to fit over the boot, the boot is just that, it is a custom-made plastic mold then covered in leather with eyelets that you lace up tight to hold your ankle and foot in place so you can walk. When I saw this drop foot brace I thought "This won't work, will it?" I decided to give it a try, amazing, I wore it all day yesterday and again today. It has worked well enough that I forget I don't have my hard-sided boot on, which amazes me.Now, mind you I have been wearing a large AFO for long enough that I have accommodated it with footwear so having this on means I don't have a problem with footwear, many people have mentioned they had trouble with shoes with this soft side AFO I may be able to go down a size and get a pair of sandals that will fit over it. I haven't been able to wear sandals since I got the "boot".The upshot, if you have drop foot, TRY THIS, it is well worth the try.

Not quite what I hoped for…
I really wanted to like this. As someone experiencing foot drop from MS, I was hoping this would be a device to use instead of my large AFO device that requires a larger shoe on the one foot. Unfortunately this device was bulkier than expected and the pad on the sole rubbed and caused irritation beneath my toes.

Getting better all the time
I've used braces from aider and another manufacturer for drop foot. I've been using them for 5 years now. These are great braces however, they just don't last long. My wife has had to sew them together because the stitching doesn't last and the velcro is very aggressive, to the point that I can't pull the straps off and I have to wait for someone to come home before I can remove it.I have managed to put them on and remove them on my own now because the velcro broke in however, just in time for the whole brace to be rebuilt. This brace caught my eye cause there were less straps and the main area that surrounds the foot is wide. Its a beefy brace made very well. It took a couple tries to put it on correctly but to be honest I found a suitable replacement in this brace. It's very comfortable to the point that I can wear it for extended periods and not have to worry about swelling feet or increased pain. One thing I noticed is that the brace is thicker and doesn't work for every pair of shoes I have. Sneakers are fine. Dress shoes I need help or can't wear it. So far it's a great brace and if this one holds up well I'll be ordering a second.

Foot still drops
Snug, feels comfy - but gradually stretches thru night or day to where it still braces to a point but does not keep near a right angle position. Unless you have some big claudhoppers for shoes - wear a big loose non skid hospital sock over it to keep clean DEFINITELY NOT FOR WALKING.

Doesn't fit with my shoe
It supposed to be used for Drop Foot and it Does NOT work. It also can't be worn with any shoes I have either. I'm Not about to buy 2 pairs of 2 different size shoes to accommodate this! A 40.00 Mistake!
