Halti for strong dogs and lovely design/colours.
Excellent Halti head collar fits well as description. They have a comfortable padding around the nose and are designed well to withstand strong dogs, especially when you have 2 big Goldadors aged 1 and 2 years old. Easy to put on and they come in various colours for a good price. They also have a reflective line around the nose for safety on those dark night walkers and overall appearance is good.

Instant cure to pulling. Has made dog walks enjoyable again.
Have been struggling with a rottweiler on walks for Months, have tried alsorts to stop her pulling - She is a solid lump and when she pulls she takes you with her. Walking was not enjoyable anymore. We wasnt sure about this type of lead, but we wish we had brought it ages ago. The lead instantly stops any pulling. it is so effective that you can hold the dog on the lead with just your little finger. If you are wondering will it work should I get it - just buy it. I wish I had got this lead a long time ago. it is an instant cure to pulling and also has dramatically cut down on the constant Sniff/pee part of the walk. The dog is more focused and now uderstands that pulling will not be tolerated.

Quality training aid
I purchased this for my 6 month old Rottweiler who is extremely energetic. It was purchased in the hopes that it would calm her down on her walks and refrain her from pulling so much and I must say it has been a success so far. I purchased the size 2 which was a good fit and still has room to grow due to it being adjustable. The design is simplistic and the quality of the item is good. In my opinion there could be a little more padding around the snout area so it is more comfortable for the longer walks. The item is light weight and after having it on for a small period of time the puppy forgets it’s their and it does not seem to cause her any bother or restrictions she can still play fetch and carry a ball or a stick.Overall great product and would buy again and recommend to others.

Quick result, hope they continue
Before I get into the full review my first indication was that they may be a little flimsy, but this is just meant for the head and not entire body and the price point sort of indicates the amount of material your getting. That said I saw no issues with it, the seams seem perfectly fine and I found adjusting them easy enough.Just a little context. I have two dogs that I walk and I've trying to walking them on a single leads which has two attachments (one for each dog). Which as the youngest has become older is a nightmare and so resulted in me going back to having my male dog back on the figure 8 leads. We have tried putting the younger female dog on a figure but she has proven much more resistant to it. My male dog is half beagle and so is driven by his nose, while the female is very sound based and so is more alert to what is happening around her (part of the problem of walking them both, they care about completely different things)I had this on my female dog twice before attempting to walk with it and she just paws at her face trying to get it off. This is as expected and why they recommend treats. I knew this was going to happen though, as stated in the context she has been resistance to the figure 8 leads. My male dog Milo took much better to it, but he also wanted to get it off every now and again... probably more as he knew he wasn't walking anywhere. This morning came the real test. I put the harnesses and head harness on each dog. When we got outside the female dog got it off pretty much as soon as we left (still in the garden) and so we had to went back in put it back on and attempted again. Attempt 2 was much better, she was walking but would still stop to try and paw it off. After removing her paw a few times and the male trying to pull a different direction she adjusted and just walked with.Once the walk had actually begun (2+ minutes of walking with no stops) everything seemed fine, she would still occasionally stop and attempt to get it off and I would remove paw and continue the walk. Very quickly they were both far better to walk, they were actually considering were the other was and were walking side by side. They started realising they'd need to wait if the male was smelling or the female was checking a lot sound out (usually a truck driving by). This next part is only in part about the head harness. The only thing I found about this is that in unison with the joint dog lead, is that they'd keep getting tangled and because they are getting pulled down by the nuzzle they just sort of stop or paw at their face... so just be more alert and ensure the lead is high enough not to get caught on which ever dog is taller.Once we were back the female dog was really happy, so she seemed to enjoy her walk (super tail wags). The male was happy, but he was less resistant and its sort of the norm him getting walked on the figure 8.FYI - I bought a cream one and a green one, both size 3. I wasn't expected any differences and there weren't any.

Not a cure, often helps, but wears the fur off a real puller!
I’ve had great results with Halti head collars with previous dogs in the past and I also bought one for my mums dog and it stopped him pulling instantly so she could walk him more easily. However, I must say that on my own new rescue dog I have had to stop using a Halti head collar because I noticed it is wearing the fur from her nose. This head collar usually works - no doubt about it - but it is a “prop” like an E-collar or prong collar (although obviously MUCH kinder) and it doesn’t TRAIN your dog to stop pulling on a lead - it often PREVENTS your dog from pulling on a lead - if you’re lucky. However, if you then stick any other collar or harness on them they will revert to type - unless you train them otherwise. That said, I have had other untrained rescue dogs walk on Haiti’s their whole life with no problems whatsoever. BUT! if you have a dog like mine that has been allowed to grow up with no training and is an absolute steam train on the lead regardless of what you put on them - training, training and more training is the only real answer. I don’t want to make my dogs face bald so I am going back to a standard collar and LOTS of time and patience with training instead.

Amazing product really works
Fantastic halti- size 5 !!! My male Saint Bernard is 78 kilos and was difficult to control he would often drag me around the park to get nearer to other dogs (which would often scare me the other dogs and their owners) fortunately he is a big softy and would never hurt anything but 78kilos coming towards you with a panic struck women clinging on the end of his lead can be very concerning to other dog walkers !!!! I am so pleased to be able to report that from the first walk using the Halti all that has stopped. He did try to paw it off a couple of times but now he knows no halti....no walk lolI was very sceptical but it truly does work. I can now enjoy a walk with my big buddy and he is a changed dog !!!!!! I recommend you try it make sure you get the correct size all sizes are explained in advert
