A great ceiling Atmos speaker
I had been looking at these speakers for a while as ceiling speakers to morph my AV system into a full blown Atmos system. I bought them from Peter Tyson via Amazon. Peter Tyson have always been a first class retailer for me. The speakers are very well packaged, ensuring that nothing is damaged in transport. The installation and operation instructions are quite detailed for a ceiling speaker. The cutting template was a real help. I added an 18mm ply layer behind the plasterboard ceiling to provide extra strength for the mount. The retaining clamps are very well designed and make a one person install of the speakers very easy. The audio from the speakers is more than good enough for the Atmos height channels. I am very pleased with the quality of the speakers and the addition sound stage offered by them.

Im giving these 5 stars as they are excellent value for money and the sound quality is excellent. Very easy to install also, the 4 retaining clips make installation easy. Im using a cheap amplifier bought from amazon “the oneu 20w stereo 12v amp” but the sound quality and bass response is excellent. Btw this is a PAIR of speakers in one box. I will be buying a second set in the near future.

Impressive ceiling speaker
After much research on which ceiling speaker to buy, I chose Yamaha based on using them before in a recording studio environment and I must say the quality is top notch for the price. Great frequency response with good bass considering the size. I use these speakers with a teac amp and it's works like a dream especially as I have control over bass and treble balance.

Nice speakers
Nice quality speakers, I guess it's probably a ceiling speaker thing but they sound like tweeters downstairs and a sub upstairs, I've got them in fire covers and used acoustic insulation in the floor.I run them with some 607 s2's and together they sound fantastic upstairs and down :)

They are nothing without a subwoofer but everything with one.
I'm sure many of you are well aware of the benefits a sub can bring to the sound of your amp but it really is essential with these. I've got 4 of these set up over a large open plan kitchen diner and whilst they sound meh without a subwoofer, they are everything with one and the range is full and gorgeous.
