Caged Wolf: Alternate Cover (Darkmore Penitentiary) Paperback – 30 April 2023

I rated 5 stars as there isn't an option for 1000000000 stars. Well holy s*** Caroline and Susanne know how to write a book with magic, monsters, adventure and mystery and oh so spine tingly naughty bits ;) this is a spin off series from the Zodiac Academy Series (which btw is freaking amazing also) it centers around Rosalie an Alpha Werewolf who enters into Darkmore Penitentiary willingly for a job. (No Spoilers) this is a reverse harem book which I'm not usually a fan of however the authors have a gift of making the story about so much more than that which is what I'm here for! Honestly the world building done by the authors is spellbinding. I am an avid reader and have read well over 2000 books (lost count after that) and genuinely on the edge of my seat wondering what's going to happen next. I'm normally very good at predicting outcomes (as most authors follow a standard format) but these books keep me guessing. I honestly feel like an addict waiting for my next fix. I can't even read other authors that I have enjoyed in the past, as it pales in comparison to the amazing storytelling of these books. So I highly recommend anyone with a genuine appreciation for great world building and some hot and steamy scenes to give this book (and all others from the authors) a go.

Ok these ladies know how to write a kick ass story.Zodiac academy and Dark Fae are 2 of my faves!!!Love that all the characters personalities are so different and varied, the set up is fantastic, the story is well developed and totally engulfs you.Ahh the guys love them and want to punch them in the unmentionables at the same time.Rosalie is a kick ass takes no prisoners (see what I did there) kind of a girl love her.As always they are the queens of cliffhangers and I am now in desperate need of the next book...xxxx

I've started this series from the twisted sisters because a) I loved ZA and b) Ethan Shadowbrook!What more can I say?!!So Rosa has had herself thrown into Darkmore purposefully on a job. There she meets Officer Cain (vamp), Ethan Shadowbrook (Alpha wolf), Sin (incubus and her job) and is reunited with Roary Knight (lion shifter and Leon's older bro).What follows is all drama and action....and of course that chemistry, anticipation and schexy times!~ Ethan Shadowbrook is my utter fave and no one can top him!~ Cain needs to get over himself.~ Sin is just absolutely bat crazy.~ Roary needs to let me know why he's not worthy because he so is. His dad had a lot to answer for!~ And Rosa is one of the most tough, gutsy heroines I've ever read!That ending though, nearly broke me!

Always amazing reads by the talented authors Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti.So I’m not usually a big fan on Fae but what I love about this story is not only does it have my Wolf shifters, it has all kinds of shifters that all have the same side as each other which are fae.This is a whole different supernatural read to what I’m use to and I bloody love it.What was suppose to be an easy in and out job turns out to be much harder and has a lot of the unknown.Our FMC is my favourite wolf shifter 😁 ever!Bring in a Lion shifter aka Roary who is yummy, a Vampire aka cain that is one mean so of a bitch, another wolf shifter aka ethan who is again seems yummylicious and my favourite character the shapeshifter aka sin and he is all about the sin for sure.It’s a book that’s addicting from the start.It’s a must supernatural read!Can’t wait for book 2

Oh my goodness!!!I have not put this book down since I started reading and my eyes feel like they going to drop out of my head!This is the first prison setting book that I have read and I absolutely loved this first instalment to the Darkmore series. Rosalie is by far one of my favourite characters in the whole of Solaria!!! She is strong, confident, calculated and is full of smart ass comments that had me laughing out loud.It had great introductions to the four main male characters and I’m looking forward to learning more about them as the series progresses.I can’t get my hands on Susanne and Caroline’s work fast enough!! They are my favourite authors and I always find it hard to get into anything else after reading one of their books. The worlds that they create are just beautiful written and full of everything you need to keep you intrigued.Do yourself a favour and dive into the world of Solaria!You won’t regret it

This was absolutely brilliant! I love the different points of view and I adore our FMC of course! Really enjoyed the whole book. I got really anxious once I'd hit 80% read and then it got a whole lot more intense. So many loose ends to tie up in the next, I cannot wait!

Caged Wolf (Book 1 in the Darkmore Penitentiary series) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti was quite a ride! While there are a few noticeable issues—like inconsistencies in the link to Zodiac Academy and plot holes that make you pause and think, "Wait, that doesn’t add up"—I still found myself enjoying it once I moved past those moments. It’s best to separate this book from the events and characters of Zodiac Academy, Ruthless Boys, and similar works, as it stands on its own in a darker, grittier way. The prison setting, the tension, and Rosalie alongside the male leads really pulled me in. Without giving too much away, this is a dark romance/thriller/fantasy with vibes reminiscent of Dark Fae. If you’re into that, you’ll probably love it too.

Wow! I’ve been re reading zodiac academy and felt Inclined to dive into this series despite being told its ends on a cliffhanger. I have no idea why I waited so long. The world building is so incredibly detailed! Love Rosalie since her cameos in the previous books so I knew she’d have a fantastic story. I love her, she’s determined and Fierce. Roary & Ethan are likeable. As for Cain and Sin! Wow these two are something else! Love the PJPO obsessive vibes they give out! Loved it
