I had an older game that the battery holder was corroded and broken. I'm pretty handy with electronics so I took the game apart soldered in the new cable and using the new battery compartment the game is now back to life. I think even without experience you could twist wires together and make it work. I'm glad it was a 3 pack. May need it for other old games.

I bought these to replace the battery holders of a couple of older GE transistor radios I have; the old ones had battery corrosion damage. These clip right onto the connector and work well, but the plastic walls of the holder are thicker than the originals, so they don't fit inside the radio properly. Right now, I have the battery holder connected, but sitting off to the side of the radio. I believe I may be able to sand them down a little and make it fit loosely enough that I can easily remove it when I want to.

Our new place came with a toilet that had an electric flush valve. Electric component, wiring and a battery pack, all INSIDE the toilet tank, all exposed to humidity.After a year, the toilet flush stopped working. The old battery pack was completely corroded, but fortunately looked just like these new battery holders.A simple splice and it was working again. But, even better, since THESE products have long wires, I could move these exposed electrical parts to outside of the water tank.

This part was much better than the one it replaced on my Water Rower. It does not flex appreciably when inserting the batteries. Price was good.

I have a vintage Variax Acoustic Electric guitar that has a corroded battery holder. These work as a prefect replacement. Also, with the additional connectors and a little soldering skill, these can be used as 9 volt inputs for guitar pedals in the event that you don't have enough power supply outlets and will last a lot longer than conventional 9 volt batteries. I don't play guitar well enough yet to have to worry about effects pedals but it's good to know I have options when I'm running a battery powered amplifier and want to be mobile in the future.
