Has been working reliably for almost two years now. Very capable mini PC with great connectivty options

Great for every day use and some video editing
I bought this mini pc to do some 4k video editing since it has a dedicated gpu . It's pretty fast for day to day work but for the first time doing a short 7 minute 4k video it lagged badly that it took more than 1hr just to complete the render on the video . For what I paid I could built a far better pc to do 4k. On a side note 1080p does great . Overall I like the style and how quite it is .

I contacted them because the power supply seems to have broken couple of months in and they're sending me a replacement! Once the problem is solved I will update to 5 stars.EDIT: They sent me a new power supply and that fixed the issue! They were very quick to help and solve the issue!

Do not buy this worthless pc
Do not buy this product it has been nothing but issues since day one. I tried to return it the first week and they did not allow me to.

From UM790 Pro barebones, added 96 GB, 6 TB SSD, and everything works great!
Bought the UM790 Pro barebones, added Crucial RAM 96GB Kit (2x48GB) DDR5 5600MT/s, fanxiang S880 4TB NVMe SSD M.2 2280 for Data, and fanxiang S880 2TB NVMe SSD M.2 2280 for Windows 11 and two or three different Linux versions. also bought Maxonar USB C to DisplayPort VESA Certified, 8K 60Hz Type C to DP Cable 6.6FT/2M ($16.99 )Everything just worked. Date of purchase Jan 13, 2024, total Amazon cost with cable was $1,201.88.Just had my 78th birthday, so it took me a long time to go barebones, but I found that someone else used 96 GB ram and 6 TB SSD, so barebones is the only way to get that high performance. Kind of spooky, but the return policy of Amazon makes it all possible.The unit is rock solid, and Costco just had a sale on a 4k monitor (LG 32UN500-W Monitor 32" UltraFine (3840 x 2160) Display, AMD FreeSync, DCI-P3 90% Color Gamut, HDR10, Built-in Speakers = $250) so I bought that yesterday! Life is good.This is a long way from programming the 6502cpu with 16k of ram and using a tape recorder for storage.

MINISFORUM Venus Series UM790 Pro Mini PC
What a great space saver. I was able to replace my laptop and docking station with the mini-PC. I’ve had no WiFi issues or overheat issues, it works great. The integrated graphic does a great all around job, display quality is very sharp and bright. I had to de-tune it a bit to save my eyes. My only recommendation to MINISFORUM is for them not to install the rubber pads on the bare bone units since customers have to remove them to install their Ram and drive.
