I use this on the cubby under the radio in my 2014 VW beetle. It works like a charm, and keeps my phone charged on the go. The mat is just a tad bit larger than my iPhone 15 pro max with a grippy surface that keeps the phone in place.The design is simple, and blends in well with the car where as you don’t really notice it as an aftermarket add on. The cost is absolutely perfect for what it does, and that is deliver a charge while keeping charging of your device simple for on the go.

As other reviews have stated, this thing hits most of the marks for what you do not want in a charger.1.) The sweet spot - where your phone needs to rest to actually charge - is tiny. Like, a few millimeters to one side (top, bottom, left, or right) and it won't charge. Furthermore, to get it to register to charge the first time is like trying to pick a lock wearing mittens. It's black magic, I never figured out how to get a solid connection with the pad.2.) Heat - the phone gets pretty warm when it's on this charger. I do not think that is good for long term health of the phone. But, the real show heat-wise is that little section of the cord. It's not just 'hot' or 'worrisome' but it's like 'omg guys, touch this thing!' hot.Don't buy this. It's bad for your phone and it's gonna start a fire in someone's car b/c if the unit I got functions as normal (and according to the reviews I assume it does) at some point there will be one of these that has some sort of circuit fault - it's bound to happen - no manufacturing process is perfect. When that eventuality collides with this crazy level of heat - you're gonna burn down someone's rig.

This wireless charger works well and fits easily in the tray area of the console. It charges slower than a plug-in charger but that was expected based on my experience with home wireless phone chargers and the included information sheet. Well worth the trade off not to have to plug and unplug the phone repeatedly. Charges the phone even with Car Play running.Unfortunately, it interferes with broadcast fm radio reception (but not satellite radio), reducing reception range to only the strongest signals and causing noise and static on weaker stations. I’ve not read about this in other reviews so apparently it’s not an issue with all cars.

My car is old and I have the original radio, so it doesn't have a 5 volt USB port that could be used to power this charger. Instead I bought an inexpensive stepdown converter so I could power it from the car's 12 volt system. I installed it in a cubby space in my dash and it works great.

I fit this in a cubby in my truck and it charges the phone fine.
