A great follow up!
One fine game. I was worried when I first started playing, kinda weird controls and Robocop controls like the old tank controls from back in the day but not quite as bad. You actually get to work crime scenes, work the front desk at the police station fielding complaints, missing persons or someone getting their panties in a wad due to their neighbors being “too loud”. Write parking tickets or do a series of side quests like taking a drunk to the drunk tank, it really surprised me how good this game is. Graphics are pretty top notch too running in the Unreal Engine, great lighting, reflections. Some NPC characters their lips don’t match up to what is being spoken on screen but, overlook it. To top it off, it has a little RPG elements thrown in for fun as well. Pick it up whether it’s on sale or full price, you won’t be disappointed.P.S. Peter Weller reprises his roll as ROBOCOP! With some other 1980’s stars. =)

Your move . . . Creep.
My review is for the PlayStation 5 version of this game. As a child, the Robocop theme song was always playing through my head—as I played, as I created—as I did anything I loved. When I saw this game was coming out, I instantly preordered. I have a huge collection of Robocop memorabilia and I still believe it is one of the greatest action films to come out of the 80s—and still one of the greatest of all time. So, take that with a grain of salt. Some of my friends were sure this was going to be a buggy mess—I am happy to say that Alex Murphy returns to cleanse the streets and not a day has passed to wash away this nuke-filled 80s Detroit. We have Peter Weller reprising his role. We have a love for the source material on full display from the developers. And when I was let into the building to begin mowing down thugs at the beginning of the game that old rousing score had a permanent smile on my face until the conclusion of the mission. I have to say, the developers got this right! Now, there are some bugs and some rough edges. I had to restart a mission because my gun site got fastened to my visor at one point. The cutscene characters kind of pop in on PS5–maybe a patch could fix—every NPC punk yells about how you destroyed their hand, and sometimes you can literally launch a biker into space with a robopunch—but this stuff is great. The environmental destruction is a nice touch. The M9 rocks as you would expect, and although Robo is slow, it helps sell the narrative that you are an unstoppable tank. Try not to smile when you marry a punk’s skull with a computer monitor. As a child of the 80s, I have been starved for something that does Robocop justice, and this game has finally given us a sequel to wash the remake and Robocop 3 away. I hope this team sticks with 80s properties or more Robocop! While it is not technical perfection, it is trying to do something that shooters don’t attempt these days. Did I mention Robocop has dialogue options? As a kid I always wanted him to realize his humanity and now I get to do that too! Happy and surprised by this new 80s action dream come true!

Great robocop game, connects great with the 80s movies
The game connects great with the films. It take place between 2nd and 3rd movie. You do quest in the station and other open areas. The only thing bad was I had to reload a save a few times because of a clue finding part of a quest wouldn't complete the scan.

I'd buy that for $35!!!
Fun and nostalgic. Great gameplay. Wish I would have waited because it's free on PlayStation Plus store haha. But it's worth every penny!!

To protect and serve
This game is a love letter to the Robocop legacy. You can tell the developers loved Robocop and they did an amazing job. Great graphics, gameplay, voice work, and story. I’m a weekend player and I beat this game on normal difficulty without much problem. Once you beat the game you can start a new game with all your perks and abilities. This game seems to go on forever, there’s just so much to do. Peter lends his legendary voice and jawline to the game. There are some minor graphical and gameplay glitches, but nothing major. I had to restart a few checkpoints due to characters getting stuck or freezing which prevented me from continuing the level. Besides that there’s so much to love, and let’s hope for a sequel. So citizens you must buy this game, or there will be trouble.

Reviewers are being generous
It’s decent, but that’s just not enough for me to sit and play through a game. I usually only play top tier titles as I’m limited on time. The Last of Us, Horizon, God of War etc. Excellent productions and feature film like experiences. This game just needed to be true to the world that has been established. There are some cool nods, but in most instances this could be any game. I don’t really feel like I’m Robocop. The shooter environment is super basic. Controls are adequate, it simple things like the targeting system could have been more engaging. It’s already setup, just copy the movie.Reviewers have been incredibly generous on scoring this game. It’s basic. Graphics are basic, score is vaguely similar, and movement is basic. Also just 2hrs in and I’m getting really bored. Just not engaging enough. It’s attempting to be open world, but the reality is that most of the map is not interactive. I’d honestly rather play the 90s arcade game than this.
