The fridge had a small dent and shelf was cracked

I bought this fridge as a replacement for the one already in my caravan, it was one of the few that was a similar size with the gas vent chimney on the same side. The fridge comes with no fixing points or arrangement for locating it in the caravan so you will have to fabricate something to stop it moving about when moving the caravan or towing. The gas burner assembly on the back of the fridge right at the bottom, is extremely fragile & flimsy, it would be easy to bend it or break it off if not careful. The instructions say not to stand the fridge on combustible surface which is very difficult inside a caravan. I put an aluminium plate under the burner assembly in my van. There are also some anomalies in the instructions or sales advice . It clearly says suitable for caravans, campers & motorhomes, it also says for use in a bedroom. The instruction sheets with the fridge says not to be used in a bedroom. It also says it needs 16" clear above the fridge & 300mm behind the fridge which is almost impossible in a caravan. There are no instructions for fitting vents behind the fridge in the side of the caravan as with most 3 way fridges, there is also little or no advice on a chimney vent for the exhaust gas. My caravan already had one which conveniently lined up with this new fridge. Just check out what you are buying & what you want to do with it as there is some conflicting information here & in the instruction manual.
