I have purchased a number of sharpner over the years but this by far is the most stable and easy to use, sharpens very well I hope the sharpning rods hold up for quite awhile but only time will tell

I am seventy-years old and have used many kitchen knife sharpeners over the years. I can tell you, without reservation--this thing is the worst ! The 1st time I used it produced a decent edge. The second time required multiple passes--always in one direction, towards me. By the fourth knife all this thing would produce is a scraping noise. Again--forget about this "sharpener" as it is rendered useless in short order. I guess it is true, you get what you pay for, but his thing is not inexpensive--it is a WASTE of money.

It sharpened knives great it just didn't do it for me with my scissors.
