Neat little camera. Like it so far. No problems easy setup

I bought one of these around half a year ago and it’s still going strong. I have it outside and it’s doing well. I figured I’d buy another one recently for inside and rigged up a place for it. Suddenly the second one just died. I tried different outlets, “reset” , and everything else but the thing is just dead. So…. And based on other reviews— it seems like it’s a 50/50 chance you’ll get a great camera that lasts for years or a long while, or you’ll get a dud that dies after a month or two. That would earn it at least 3 stars because when the thing works I mean it WORKS! Great camera! Great functionality… love the app! I wanted more!! But since it’s. 50/50 shot… and we’re talking about security here, not just a lightbulb, it’s losing another star.Some people really need to have eyes in dangerous places, and if they buy this camera hoping they’ll be safer or know something before it’s too late, and this company thinks that a 50/50 chance is good enough, they’re wrong.Edited 1/5/2025: Updated decided to buy another one, set it up. Going well so far. So far so good!

Sucks won't stay connected

Bought 2 of these units on June 5th, '23. 1st one went bad July 10th. Return date expired July 5th. 30 days for a security camera unit? ... Unacceptable

I have tried a few light bulb cameras and most of the time they fall short. Either the picture quality is poor or some other function of them is not up to par, but these are great. They have wonderful picture quality, you can zoom in on objects. Very easy to install.

The security camera came in a box inside which I found 1 camera, 1 wall outlet adapter, 1 accessory bag, and 1 instruction.The instruction is long but the steps are clear. I followed the instruction step by step to set up the camera and the app, and got it to work on the first try.Compared with my old security cameras, this camera has many advanced functionalities:1. It pans 359 degrees around and tilts about 135 degrees. These functions enable it to survey much larger area than a fixed direction security camera. The camera does produce a low humming sound when panning or tilting. In a noisy environment the sound is hard to hear, but in the quiet night the sound is noticeable.2. It not only can record sound but can send voice via speaker as well. This function enable it to conduct two-way communication. The sound from the camera speaker is loud and clear.3. It has both black-white and color night vision. When it is set to color night vision, the camera will turn on LEDs to send out visible light and illuminate the area. When it is set to black-white night vision, the camera will not turn on LEDs and therefore the area will remain dark. The camera simply detects the infra-red night vision image. In both cases the images captured by the camera are very clear.4. Motion tracking. When I turned this function on, the camera was able to track my movement without any problem with one caveat: Since the camera can pan 359 degrees, it may reach its pan limit while tracking movement. In this case the camera can no longer track the motion until the movement is back within the pan limit.Overall this is a very versatile security camera that works well. My biggest challenge was in fact to find the ideal light socket to put it in. It was harder than I thought. The included wall outlet adapter did not help much since the wall outlets are usually near the ground and not near the ceilings where the security cameras usually are.

It basically works but not the way I need. No way to adjust motion sensitivity or block areas from motion detection and not able to find software that would allow this. Thus a ridiculous number of motion messages.

Camera keeps going offline everyday and have to keep re-adding camera on the app.
