Great light phone larger screen
Great looking phone purchased for mother in her late 70's who wanted a non smart phone. This is Xmas present so have not set up so will update later. It is larger buttons to some phones. The buttons are clear and it is light. Happy with seller item arrived very quickly well package did purchase a separate charger with 3 pin plug as the model purchased only came with 2pin plug. Have used Nokia before so I'm sure set up will be simple. Phone will be for texting and phoning use only. This model is not a smart phone.

Solid functional phone for calls & texts
I bought the phone as a work based device so i don't need battery sucking features. Calls, texts & battery life were my key requirements. I do like the idea of a ‘minimalist’ phone and had been drawn to the Punkt MP01 but at £230 they can stick that! This is the Nokia 230 dual sim - NOT the Asha smart phone of the same model numberPros:*Battery life - compared to smart phones it will never die*Looks - have to say it looks & feels good, white & brushed Alu on the back is a nice look*MicroSD - Up to 32Gb and accessed via mini-USB so it's effectively a USB pen drive*Bluetooth - for in car connectivity & headsets*Dual SIM - I don't need this at the moment but it's actually quite handy to have the option of running say personal & business calls from one deviceCons:*Camera - 2Mb? Seriously? Apparently this is to do with keeping down data volumes if a user wants to send a picture but why not put in a 5Mb camera & give the user small/medium/large sending size options?*Wireless - where is it?*Bluetooth Slam - Instead of implementing vanilla Bluetooth they've put on Nokia slam which is great for sharing files with other Nokia users but not with my iPhone*Headset - I plugged in my old Nokia headset and it didn't work, even my iPhone headset didn't work which was frustrating as my house is coming down with old headsets. I took a gamble on buying the recommended Nokia/Microsoft WH-308 (£10) and they've been perfect*Configuration - There are a few silly issues such as the 'selfie' button on the main screen which i'd like to reprogram to something more useful. There is a shortcut menu which is editable but only for some things. E.g. if i'm in a meeting i like to quickly flick to a silent profile in a couple of key hits which the shortcut menu should allow but profiles are not an option to add inComments:*Size - it’s a little bigger than I wanted but it’s well profiled & weight is low so no issues with it*Texting - i really like Nokia's predictive text since I first used it in '98. I might not pen an epistle to the Thessalonians with it but I can knock out a text pretty quickly. They HAVE lost the feature to restore your text if you accidently delete it while composing - come on Nokia/MS*Contacts - Contacts are easy to use BUT you can't add multiple numbers to one contact, nor does it have Firstname, Surname. You have to be careful how you organise your contacts as a result*2G - I have read that 2G may come to end of life shortly, even 3G! Given the disposable nature of phones this probably won’t be an issue but you never know. Generally my phones last around 4 years so it might affect meOverall this phone does what i need it do as a work phone and I’m quite happy with it

Not as nice or well made as i expected it to be.
This phone looks great in the pictures but once in the hand the quality is lacking. The handset has a ridge around it that digs into your hand when holding it.The back cover is very awkward to remove and the whole phone looks and feels cheaply made and nowhere near the quality expected from this once great manufacture. Also the software is series 30 plus which is inferior to series 40 on my 10 year old 3720 and unlike my old phone the 230 will not connect to the internet even though it is supposed to.All in all I am rather disappointed with this handset especially as it cost me almost £70.00 when it is fact no better than a 216 apart from the camera that is and is inferior to the 3310.I cannot recommend this phone especially when you can get a great condition second hand 3720 for less than £30.00 and is better in every way to this model.

Unhelpful instructions?
One comment about this phone which was exactly what I wanted and is fine - the instructions were not in English. Not a problem particularly as I had a similar model before but worth mentioning
