KONG - Extreme Flyer - Durable Rubber, Soft Flying Disc for Power Chewers, Black - Large Dogs

Very durable for a heavy chewer but I do not leave it with him.. it flys well he loves to chase and catch it and we take it out as most dogs go for balls but not discs.. it is hard wearing but I would not leave it with my dog unattended.

We had the red version, which has lasted 4 years of near daily use. We thought we would give the black one a go. What a fail!Opened the packet last night when it was delivered. Surprised to see it folded in half ( the red ones are packaged flat). Almost toxic smell of rubber filled the kitchen. The black one absolutely STINKS. Unfolded it and noticed the middle wasn't as black as the rest of it but thought it was just the way it's been stored folded.We took it with us this morning and from the first throw it was obvious it wasn't 'flying' like the red one did. It kept turning on its side. I don't proffess to be a champion frisbee flinger, but I can normally throw a pretty good one!5 throws. That is all we got out of this frisbee. It split and then tore like thin paper. I immediately removed it from our dog ( who as mentioned before has had a red version for 4 years!).This product is falsely marketed as a tough product. our dog isn't a rough player - she has soft toys from when she was 8 weeks old without a mark on them. This frisbee should last more than 10 mins in the park!! I honestly think the white part on the frisbee when opening was a sign of the rubber having perished.I'm normally one of Kongs biggest advocates - being a registered breeder, we always recommend Kong toys to the new families. We have Kong wobblers, Kong classics, airdog, puppy goodie, various sized snugga wubbas, wild knots bears, alligator, signature sticks, jumblers.. we have so many Kong products we should have shares tbh but this has really soured my opinion of the brand.

I was surprised at first as it’s not a firm frisbee at all and takes some skill to throw it a distance. But my dog loves it, he’s on his second one now after losing his in a river

No good if your dog is a chewer,like all Kong products it doesn't last 5 minutes.

I buy these every few months for my dogs. The are tough wearing and great for my Collies. This one was flimsy and felt thinner than the ones I’ve been delivered before. As I said, they usually last months. This one lasted 1 hour. I’d really check your getting the original when buying all. I’ve ordered a new one so here’s hoping it’s the original version.

Bought this for my 2 dogs have bought several king items over the years unfortunately this was not one of my best buys, flimsy rubber did not last 5 minutes

Excellent lasted for years

Product arrived folded in half and in a cardboard sleeve. No idea how long it had been folded but the crease across the middle is semi permanent despite it being weighted down with a heavy weight in warm water.As a result the frisby will not fly correctly. 20 yards or so is its maximum, and that is on a calm day.I previously bought the red Kong Frisby which was an excellent buy and seemed a sturdier option to this black version. This was money wasted I'm afraid.
