I actually prefer these to Tombows!
Y’all, I agonized over brush markers and pens for hours, reading reviews and watching tutorials, and ultimately ordered the 48 ct set along with the Caliart 34 ct set. I have one 9 ct set of Tombows and while they are certainly juicy I, like so many others, cannot afford an entire set. I was also frustrated with how quickly the ends seem to fray, even when using the right paper and rotating the brush.I just started lettering as more than just an occasional thing and wanted a set to practice strokes without wasting good ink. I intended to purchase one of the many inexpensive sets (hence the Caliart) but after seeing so many positive reviews of the Artists Loft purchased those as well to compare.Bottom line: the Artists Loft are more watercolor pens than markers like the Tombows, but all that does, I feel, is add a subtle and pretty gradient to my lettering. They are easier to control than the Tombows but still give the thin lines I want when doing fancier scripts. The Caliart seem more like cheap markers and are almost impossible to make a delicate line with on most of the brush tips. A few could make a thin line, but that was an anomaly, the rest felt frayed, even new out of the package. Also, the Caliart are SUPER difficult to remove the top on the brush side.A few of the artists loft colors are more sheer, like fancy highlighters, but there are so many in the set that the vast majority have the juicy, vivid color that makes them an excellent dupe for Tombows. The box is not ideal for use, but I purchased a marker case to hold them all, plus my Tombows and Gelly Roll pens. These even blend well with water, which works better to me than using the blender pen that came with the Tombows.

Amazing Quality and Value
After reading a review from a hand letterer saying that these were comparable to the Tombow brand, I had to try them especially at their price which put them at $0.70 per marker. I'm a beginner in hand lettering and I don't want to spend a ton of money on markers just yet but I want a decent quality marker. These are my favorite markers of my collection (only have 4 brands so far). They have a great selection of colors, the tip is the best tip on any marker I own, the ink is very pigmented (especially the black) and they are easy for me to handle. I can't find more colors on Amazon, but once they are available I'm getting them! Disclaimer: I have not yet used a Tombow brand brush marker which seem to be the most popular brush marker for lettering. With these I honestly don't even see the point in buying Tombow right now.

Excellent
There was a mistake on the return information. I did not return this item. I have tried Artists Loft felt pens and consider them very good quality. I think they are on the same level as the Tombows. I wish they had more colors added. I would definitely buy again.

Colors very light. Plastic case was broken, but so far all the markers look ok.
The colors are a little washed out. I have not used all the markers, if I find any messed up ones I will change my review. I am a bit aggravated about the case being broken because I wanted to use it to store them in. I see no evidence the markers were used and the case was broken when someone tried to open it. I think the shipping package needed more padding. They are fairly easy to open. I can open either end and I have arthritis in my hands and fingers.

These are the best copy cat dual tip brush markers
Love these markers! I love Tombow markers but the cost for them do add up. I decided to look for some copy cat versions and these Artist's Loft markers keep popping up in all of my searches. I had to try. I got these for such a great price. The only complaint is the case is plastic and it didn't handle the shipping on one corner so I will be looking for a better case to hold them sideways. I understand these markers like to be horizontal when stored.I created this chart using mix media paper. The lines are the fine tip. I used water to show how they blend so well with water.

Love them more than my Tombows
I find these to be very comparable to my more expensive Tombow’s. I can’t really tell the difference between the two except that my hand lettering looks a lot better with these. My upstrokes are a lot thinner and prettier. These pens are just smoother. They have definitely improved my lettering.Like Tombow’s, These are a longer, flexible tip... so I would not start with these if you are a beginner. (Check out Fudenosuke’s).I do like the Tombow colors a little better, they seem more vibrant, but the Tombow tips frayed really quickly (within 2 months!) even though I took great care of them, so I would recommend these over them.
