Excellent for maintaining alignment after surgery
An excellent product. As it says on the box, this toe alignment splint is intended for use "Postoperative after Hallux Valgus, Hammer Toes and Tailor's Bunion". As someone who has recently had successful hallux valgus surgery, or bunion surgery as it is more commonly known,at the third attempt, this splint was supplied by my foot and ankle surgeon to maintain the correct alignment that had been achieved.Unfortunately, this product is NOT intended for use by someone who has an existing bunion (sadly, it is impossible to straighten bones that are out of alignment) or who has had surgery but, for whatever reason, a good alignment has not been achieved.

Comfortable enough and works okay
I was given one of these after an NHS operation to rectify my hammerhead toe and severe bunion. It has been helpful through consistent wearing at night and gives my foot the support it needs. The toe piece does easily stretch unfortunately over time which is why I am buying a new one.

quality
bought this as a spare due to having to wear one for a while. I was given one by the hospital and this was fine, but this one was starting to fall to bits after about a month. but does wash fine

Brilliant Night Time Splint
Bought to wear after undergoing hallux vulgas bunion surgery in February. I wore this once during the night once my cast was taken off and it helped keep my toe in alignment whilst the soft tissue and tendons were healing. I can highly recommend to anyone who has had surgery as it’s very comfortable to wear and easy to put on, not at all fiddly.

Poor substitute
Ordered this item as a replacement for the one from hospital, so I can alternate them. No where near as robust as hospital one. Wrap for toe splint far too long and stretched when using so very difficult to get around toe and uncomfortable as big padding. Also wouldn’t splint toe properly.Very poor substitute, hard to believe same brand as from hospital. Have requested refund.

Comfy. But that's about it.
It's a comfy product to wear, no doubt, but in my case I found it exerted very little corrective force upon my toe (which was bent due to bone breakage). It did nothing to correct my toe alignment issues even after a month of almost continuous wear. If you have a more severe big toe misalignment you might want to try something with metal inserts instead of a piece of comfy cloth held together with velcro.

Provided Immediate Relief
Having had problems for a few weeks with the toe next to my big toe after dropping a box on my foot, I dubiously tried this contraption. I didn’t tie it too tight and found it comfortable to wear all day with my work boots and during the night. My toe had been bent at the first joint but after a couple of days it appeared straighter and less swollen. When I am wearing it I don’t have as much pain in my foot so I am happy to persevere with it for the next few weeks.

This works fine, quality is good
This works fine, quality is good, and it is good that it is so flexible - you can put straps round every toe for alignment should you wish, or just one or however many you need. For big toe only though I prefer another type of hinged toe splint, but think it is a personal preference and everyone's feet will be different so I recommend trying a few and seeing what works for you.
