Bug Box
This is an ideal way of introducing young children to exploring nature. They can be taught to investigate and at the same time be respectful by returning insects, for example, to their natural habitat. The size of the Bug Box is ideal for small hands to manage -a great yet inexpensive gift.

Suitable for young kids
Basically a plastic pot with a lid and integral magnifier. Its cheap, its cheerful but robust enough for a 4 year old to use. If you kid is into 'bugs' then this should keep them happy.

great bug box
ordered one day, it arrived the next. The kids love it and we're impressed with the magnifying glasses on the case. Just a little case but the size is as described. Big enough. It came with a plastic pretend spider in it but it looks so real that our son managed to scare me and his big sister!

Great buy
Buy for a spring beach combing holiday in Tresco, Isles of Scilly. Great for bugs, sea snails etc. my 2.5 year old like looking at them close up. Surprised the magnifier still attached after a week of being used by my toddler and being shoved in various pockets! Passed the toddler test!

Does its job but there are better bug boxes out there
My little one loves this bug box. I got it because it was one of the cheaper options and I could get it using Prime so no delivery charge. However I do think there are better ones out there in terms of design and shape and I can imagine sonething of this quality being on sale in Poundland. Having said that it does its job, my child loves looking for bugs to go in it, and I didn't pay for delivery.

The magnification is good and the pot is small enough for little fingers ...
Splendid small clear container with a magnifying top for viewing bugs, worms, caterpillars, etc. It comes with a plastic spider already in it, suitable for terrorising Mum. The magnification is good and the pot is small enough for little fingers to manage easily. I would suggest a useful modification would be for the manufacturers to flatten part of the clear side of the cup at the top so that it could be more easily used to scoop up spiders etc when bug collecting. Had it had this modification, I would have given it 5 stars.

Bugtastic
Got a little one who's fascinated with bugs.... this is great. Catch em then release them, magnifying glasses great for seeing little critters close up. Got as a replacement when first one (came as part of a another toy) cracked. This one probably will too after a lot of outdoor use, not massively thick plastic.

Container too small for any specimen
Apart from a tiny container, the lid breaks fingernails getting it off, useless for younger children, magnifier on lid good, the only good point, waste of moneyI IMO.
