Really good rod for the price ten times better than fladden rods bought as beginner rod for my kids but stands up well to hammering from me lol would recommend to anyone looking for a starter rod easy to use nice casting action and for the price an absolute bargain I'll be getting another one soon

This rod is excellent value for money. It casts well enough and has good bite detection. The rod is well made in an attractive black and blue and has a good quality mount and eyes.

Good rod and casts well, would've liked the tip to be a bit thinner, because most flatties I catch on it are deep hooked because the rod isn't sensitive enough to pick up bites - that could be my fault tho

I have the 3 piece rod.Just bought another 3 piece rod.caught plenty of fish on them this year.quality and bite detection excellent for price.Have taken plenty of abuse while fishing off rocks and still look good.

Great rod for the price used it off the pier got great casts and comfortable rod playing fish nice bite indication too got a ray on first cast with the rod :)

very poor quality! Second cast and it split down the center..Tip of the day: never buy Shakespeare rod. Stick to century
