Grand daughter is going to love this, she is 3 years old and horsey mad, I can see I'm going to need another for he brother when he is a little older 'cos she may not want to part with it. I do have a little dilemma on how to get it on how to get it safely on a plane to France lol It's very well made, the best one I've seen and the price is very good. Looks exactly like the picture and well packaged so no damage, unfortunatly the packaging is a little bigger than I'll need next week.

This is a lovely toy. We had promised it to our soon to be three year old daughter who obviously hadn't quite got the concept of a hobby horse before it's arrival as her first response which caused amusement was "there's no seat!" Once she was given a quick demo she soon had some fun using it though be it not for long, but this is more likely to be down to my child and her age as she flits from one thing to another in no time. She is quite tall for her age but it was plenty big enough. My only gripe is that the woollen mane does shed small strands of fibre. This is nothing drastic but if like me you hate to see a bitty carpet especially being dark brown and plain,then think twice. I've just encouraged my little one to play more on the laminated floor where it poses no problems at all. It's good value for money and much better quality than the ones saw for sale at certain bookshop outlets. It did take until the latter estimated date rather than the earlier to arrive which in our experience is unusual when ordering from Amazon.

I got this for fancy dress - and didn't realise it was child size (not sure what I was thinking as obviously its designed for children, not adults!) so as long as that is okay for you, its a great purchase.

I'd rate this toy 5 stars as it is exactly what I'd expect from Bigjigs products. The wooden handles are smooth and robust and the wheels work well on carpet and on hard flooring. The horse is cute! It was well received by a small person and the only problem I can forsee is that it will wear out from being stroked :o)It was worth paying a little extra to get a hobby horse with wheels. The fact that the horse doesn't make a noise is not an issue - there are plenty of 'horsey' noises being offered by the owner!

I bought the toy for my friends little boy for his second birthday, as he is mad on horses. The present has not disappointed, and he is already giddying and trotting around his house! The product was well made and really sturdy - the wooden pole is very smooth so no chances of any splinters. The horse's head part was well padded and had a really lovely face too. I opted for one without the music as I knew my friends little boy would enjoy making the "neighing" noises himself. A fabby gift that's British made and great value for money.

I have been searching for a Hobby Horse for my granddaughter. I had seen quite a few, but most didn't really look like a proper horse eg, brightly patterned, sound effects, but this cord hobby horse is just what I was looking for. It looks like a real horse, it is very well made and was very securely packaged. The price may to some seem a little high, but in my opinion, it is worth every penny. Bought this for a birthday present for a 9 year old who is obsessed with horses. It is a bit small but well made. Packaging was disgraceful though - how the actual item wasn’t damaged or marked is surprising.
