It did with a slim case but mine has stopped working

yes, takes a bit longer to charge (approx. 4 hours from flat to full) but perfect if you charge your phone overnight.

Q: Does it need to be charged up before charging the phone? I just received my wireless charger and trying to use, but indicator light is not on?!

I've had mine a long time now. As long as you have the USB plugged into either an adapter plug and into the mains and is switched on or a PC and that is switched on, then when you place your phone on it, it should light up and begin charging. I charge my iPhone X without any issues.

Q: Does this work with the s7

Yes, although it's not the quickest. My S7 is currently up to 66% and it's showing 2h 6m until fully charged. That's with a 2a wall plug
