Easy, Do-It-Yourself Haircut
I had a set of clippers many years ago, the kind barbers would use. They were bulky and it took a long time to cut my hair. It was hard to maneuver the clippers and cord around my head. I eventually stopped using them and started paying a local place to cut my hair. I recently realized that while the haircuts I was getting were functional, I didn't get the point to paying more than $20 for them with a tip. I went looking for other clippers, and came across the "Mangroomer". While I don't like the name, I found it quick and easy to use.I stood in front of my sink with the "Mangroomer" and a trash can, and started running it over my hair. The next thing I knew, I was done except for having my wife trim the back of my neck. Very quick and easy, and not much more to say than that. As for the battery charge, I cut my hair, then passed it off to my boys, who each cut their hair on the same charge. It's still going. The "Mangroomer" is easy enough to hold for actually cutting your hair. I find it awkward for trimming around my ears, but I have a small trimmer I can use for that and it's not a big deal.Cleaning is easy. You can hold it under the sink and rinse it off. It also comes with a little brush for cleaning. My hair is thick and wavy, so keeping my hair cut short is the best thing for me. I don't care about style, and don't mind walking around like I'm still in Boot Camp. If you're in the same boat, this is a good product for you. I think I bought it for about $25, and it delivers the value I needed. It would have cost me more than $80 in haircuts for myself and all 3 boys, so I've already saved $55 on one round of haircuts.

Awesome for a 5’oclock shadow shave on your head.
This works great. If you want a close, buzz cut shave. I used to use my Wahl hair trimmer with no attachment to get a close cut. But it was a little rough compared to this man groomer unit. The main difference is the number of shear blades per square inch. This unit is much more gentle. You don’t feel like you’re using a cheese grater on your head. But in addition to that the blade area is twice as wide as a conventional hair trimmer. As much as I love Wahl trimmers, the quality has really gone down over the years, but if you want to use it like a barber with fades and 1/4” and 7/8” attachments, get a Wahl,.. preferably an older unit. But if your main goal is a slight stuble shave, especially if you have microdermal pigmentation, or just want to cut it short to cover your widow’s peak or light baldness,.. this is really the ticket. Cuts right through hair, the wide blade covers more surface area for faster shaves. And if you do it once a week or so, it’ll take about 2 minutes for each hair cut, and your skin will thank you for not roughing it up like you would with an old fashioned hair trimmer. One word of caution, lithium batteries are super efficient and don’t go slower before they die,.. it will be full speed and then Just straight up die. Luckily it only takes about 45 minutes to get a decent charge. Just don’t use it 5 minutes before a job interview and rely on it being charged because it’s going nice and fast. It could die. But I have to say, after a full charge, I get about 4, once a week hair cuts out of it before needing a charge. This is an excellent unit. And at this price, I couldn’t ask for more. Competitors like skullshaver however, want an arm and a leg for substandard garbage. Read the reviews before you buy a more expensive shaver. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 5 o’clock shadow style shave, o. The top of you head. Heck, you could buy 3 for the price of a skull shaver. Keep two for yourself, give one to a friend, if either goes out, you have a spare. But honestly, been using it for quite a while now, with no issues. Save for those times I try to get a 5th or 6th hair cut out of it without charging. Good stuff. Highly recommend.

Effortless shave with short lifespan
For the last twenty-five months, I used the 1999-6 MANGROOMER trimmer to shave my head every two weeks. Until this past weekend, only one other time - at the thirteen month mark - did the trimmer fail to deliver a predictable, close shave along my scalp. While I could be mistaken, I believe my MANGROOMER was part of the initial launch of the 1999-6 in late 2017 on Amazon. At that time, my original head trimmer had failed after five years of semimonthly utilization. I loved that trimmer and was fearful I would not find a similar product that allowed me to shave at home and not turn my head into a bloodied mess. Since this product was retailing with a "new product launch" promotion, I took a chance by purchasing it. Functionally, the MANGROOMER easily performed like my original trimmer. With a scar atop my head, the MANGROOMER's blades not once nicked the raised, surrounding tissue. Additionally, given my routine utilization, I only needed to charge the MANGROOMER for an hour before it could provide two uninterrupted shaves each month; my previous trimmer required at least eight hours. The only negative of 1999-6’s design is the fact that the power button is located on the top of the device - easily activated inadvertently during a shave. (In contrast, my original trimmer had a stiff power switch located on the side that was impossible to activate without intent.) Since my original trimmer was no longer in production at the time of the MANGROOMER’s public launch, I was blessed to find the 1999-6, which afforded a seamless transition while making prep-time a non-factor.Sadly, after charging my MANGROOMER for the first time in 30 days before my (Veterans Day) weekend shave, the unit died halfway through that maneuver (i.e. shave). Having experienced this issue previously, I charged it again that same day; after the power LED returned to green, I attempted to use it only for the trimmer to operate for 30 seconds before dying a second time. Unfazed, I let the 1999-6 charge overnight. Unlike last December, however, while the power LED continues to emit green, the motor has not energized since; this required me to charge and use a standby trimmer to finish my shave before returning to my employment. Desiring to keep the standby trimmer as a back-up only - it's a duplicate of my original razor with the long charge time - I now am pressed into finding a replacement for my MANGROOMER trimmer.Having purchased the MANGROOMER on October 9, 2017; its 2-year warranty period has now lapsed. While I really enjoy how the 1999-6 performs; given my two encounters with sudden power failure and the relatively short lifespan of my MANGROOMER, I am a bit weary of this model’s unreliable motor/power circuit. Peeking at reviews for the MANGROOMER online, it appears spontaneous power failure issues remain an ongoing concern for the 1999-6. For its simplicity, ease of use, and price-point, one could do far worse than procuring the MANGROOMER to conduct effortless head shaves with minimal prep time. I just desire one that will last a little longer before replacement (exceeding 52 uses/26 charges).
