SennheiserConsumer Audio Sennheiser RS 2000 Digital Wireless Headphone for TV Listening - Black, medium

Bought a competing (cheaper) product and had to return it after a week because it didn't work (sound cut out repeatedly). Should have gone with Sennheiser in the first place and saved myself the trouble, especially since we already own another older Sennheiser model that still works perfectly after all these years. This newer model is easy to install, works great with very high quality sound, and has easy to use volume and balance controls. The transmitter does not need to be 4 feet away from your TV or cable box like the competing model but, (as I understand from the tech service people) it does need to be at least 10 or 15 feet away from any wireless router. That wasn't a problem for us (TV in the front living room, router in the back bedroom), but Sennheiser's very good FAQs on their website and tech support people can walk you through any problems you may have if that distance isn't possible.Overall very happy with this purchase.One minor quibble: Sennheiser doesn't include a two-pronged cable that hooks into the audio out jacks in the back of most modern TVs or cable boxes -- there's just a 3mm headphone cable which can only plug into the headphone outlet on the TV. If you plug directly into that outlet, you will cut out the TV's main speakers so an audio out adapter is necessary in most cases. You can get that kind of adapter at any decent hardware store, but just be aware.

Perfect for hard-of-hearing tv watcher. Earbuds are a little large, but maybe my ears are small.

I bought this one to replace an very old one that stopped working. The sound and comfort of the old one was perfect, although it did cut out frequently when I turned my head.The new one is uncomfortable because it hurts my ears due to the angle of the earpiece or possibly the tight pressure. I noticed other reviewers complained of ear pain too. The sound quality is not as good as my old unit but the new one does not cut out at all while turning my head. The sound quality sounds like an echo, I don’t wear hearing aids. It’s a bit weird and will take some getting used to. The third issue is that the base that hangs down your chest picks up sounds like a stethoscope. If the base touches my long necklace or even rubs against my shirt, it’s heard in the ear pieces. I don’t understand why, that never happened with the old one.

These are great when your heart of Hearing they’re much better than the ones that go through my hearing aids table to allow my ears to breathe

Great product for anyone having hearing problems. Makes tv audio sound good while allowing other people in the room to listen at ‘normal’ volume. Happy customers!!!

According to a Sennheiser support technician this device is faulty, does not allow pairing.

This is the best investment I have made in a long time. Set up was easy. The device is light. And the sound is magnificent!!!!

Works very well but had to get some help to hook up to rather complex audio visual system.
