Brilliant shoes for running
I came to these shoes while searching for a pair of running shoes. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical due mainly to the lack of a recognised brand name, I suppose, but the reviews I read convinced me that they were the way to go.I'm very glad I did, they are very comfortable, look good and didn't break the bank. I'm usually quite wary of buying shoes online because I've quite large feet, and sometimes this causes a real struggle - my efforts to buy AstroTurf trainers of late, for example... but I digress - the fit with these trainers is immaculate - it's rare to find a pair of shoes that fits so comfortably.I've yet to seriously test the waterproof claims, but I have gone running in light rain a couple of times and they held up well enough. All in all, a very satisfied customer who would happily recommend and buy again.

Comfortable shoes, extra wide
As someone who has been through a lot of surgery on my feet and ankles I always struggle to find shoes that will accommodate my wide feet. I purchased the extra wide fitting shoes. Honestly I wasn't expecting them to fit but in this case they fitted very well. The only issue I have with the fit is that it narrows very quickly towards the toes. The shoes are very comfortable, but don't offer any ankle support. The soles have a decent grip. I won't be running in them but wearing around the house I have been finding them very comfortable and lightweight. The swede finish on them unfortunately seems to be a bit of a dirt magnet and I've found that they can crease at the toes quite quickly. Let's be honest, nobody is buying these for how they look. They don't scream fashionable, they are suitable for someone looking for practical comfort shoes, the big brand logo is a bit much for me, I would prefer smaller non text logo. They do the job fairly well. My pictures are of the shoes after wearing for a month.

Very comfortable
I have bought 3 pairs of shoes by this maker. They really are wide and very comfortable. Not too heavy. As I have said before, to find shoes for " clown's feet " is wonderful. Thankyou.

Excellent Service and Excellent zFootwear
As a 71 year old I, in common with many getting on in years, have had foot problems. My left foot gets pains in the ball of my foot and my right foot has an issue with swelling in my big toe joint. The walking/running shoes I purchased have worked wonders for both feet. No more pain or swelling. Comfortable and a pleasure, literally, to wear.To anyone in a similar boat to me, and want relief this was the specification of my order:1. Order half a size bigger than your normal size.2. Order a XWide size.It gives room for your feet to spread, and believe me, what a difference they make. No more issues and the cushoning prevents the ball pain, with the extra width preventing pressure across the toes. Brilliant to walk the dogs with no pain. Great product for us oldies.

Poor quality material.
Thought I'd give these a bash and yes, they're comfortable and a good wide fit as described, but...Whatever the suede effect covering is, isn't fit for purpose. After kneeling for just a couple of minutes to do some work, I noticed the toes of the shoes were a bit Dusty as expected, but on brushing them with my hand, actually the suede material was as bald as a badgers backside. Disappointing, as they are promoted as walking shoes, so should be up for a bit of a beating. Not good value, can't recommend.

Wasn't sure about buying shoes online, but so far so good
Many, many years ago I had a hang gliding accident that tore all the tendons in my left foot. While mostly recovered I have tended to favour that foot with the result that it seems I now have a bunion which became extremely painful. So much so that wearing my normal shoes the mile into town had become a trial. Visiting local shoe and outdoor shops did not reveal any outlet selling extra wide shoes (I'd found a chart on the internet that described what was required for each shoe size). To make things more difficult I take 11.5, and many shoe manufacturers don't make half sizes. So I came across Fitville on Amazon, who not only make half sizes, but also wide, extra wide and extra extra wide shoes. In addition, unlike most UK sellers, they don't stop at size 12 so if you have larger than average feet you could be in luck. I did have qualms about buying online since shoe sizes can vary so it's usually a good idea to try on pairs before buying. However these turned up, easily big enough in size, and with a width that does not apply pressure on my recalcitrant left big toe.In fact, as another reviewer had pointed out (yes I read other peoples' reviews before buying) they do feel a little loose around the heel, however that can be rectified by tightening the laces which tend to stick in position unless tightened at the crossover level and then pulling the slack up to the top of the tongue. This is a bit hit and miss since you then need to walk around a bit to see how effective you've been, but I guess you can still get there in the end. Finally, a number of reviewers commented on how grippy the sole was (or rather wasn't). Now the fact is that even the best soles won't grip everything. I've also in the past done some multi-day, long distance treks complete with full backpack with tent, sleeping bag, cooking equipment etc. and generally used walking boots with Vibram soles, reckoned to be one of the top materials. However having survived rock strewn mountains I have occasionally slipped on those highly polished marble like slabs that seem to get used a lot in shopping centres, so I know that nothing is 'bullet proof' when it comes to grip. With regard to the Fitville shoes, so far I've not had any problems. The tread pattern isn't as reassuring as you'd find on expensive walking shoes, however as mentioned, although I've been out in wet ground conditions I haven't had any problems.I haven't been out in them when it's raining so can't comment on their water resistance.,Overall I consider them to be a great buy since it means I can at least walk a few miles without discomfort, and at a very good price. In fact, I've ordered a pair by Fitville (different style) for my wife who tends to need wide fitting shoes (and a half size).
