This is the best invention ever!
This machine is brilliant! I got it because my husband and I go through at least 2 bottles of cold brew each week, especially in the summer months. We were trying to keep up with making our own, but between the prep and time it would take, we eventually returned to just buying it prepared. This was actually a treasure truck deal that I decided to try with absolutely no regrets at this point. I actually did not have high expectations as the prepared cold brew brand we liked was pretty good (Stok), but figured it couldn’t hurt. We’ve had this machine for about 3 months now and it works like a dream. It’s very easy to use, (we didn’t even really read the instructions), and very easy to clean. The most significant reason we love it is the flavor of having freshly made cold brew. We prefer either the whole bean Carribou Coffee or Kona Coffees and generally use the “Bold” coffee strength. The machine essentially spins longer for a stronger brew selection and less long for a milder flavor. We also tried using the ground version of these coffees but the flavor profile was much weaker and no where near as good. For the pros I would say:*Easy to use*Easy to clean*Decreases cold brew prep time from 24-48 hours to 1 hour or less*Reasonably priced (occasionally goes on sale too)*Makes 7 cups of cold brew (when you fill 1 cup past the last line) this is because some of the water is absorbed by the beans.*Doesn’t take up much counter space*Has 3 flavor profiles (mild, med, bold) spinning less time (mild) to longer (bold)*More cost effective to prepare at home*(Opinion) better tasting cold brew when freshThe cons:*This machine isn’t super loud but it’s not quiet either, the noise made when spinning is definitely the main detractor for this product.*The machine takes about 45 minutes to make a batch of cold brew on the Bold setting, less for milder settings. But still much less than 24+ hours.Overall we are really happy with this machine and the money we are saving coupled with the flavor profile of having it fresh. I would and have definitely recommended to friends, coworkers and family.

Fantastic
I made cold brew by soaking coffee grounds for 24 hours, then straining. Wanted something easier so bought this cold brew machine. Chose this one mainly because of the brand and it made 7 cups of brew under an hour. After cleaning machine parts I immediately made up a batch. For a full 7 cups of cold brew I did as instructed by video and put in 13 scoops of coffee grounds which measured out is a cup of coffee grounds.Screwed top on ground holder and placed back in place. Then added 7 cups of cold water. Watch water level because level will go down a bit so I added more water until it was to top of container holding coffee. Put glass carafe in place, hit brew button, hit bold button, then pushed brew button again to start it.Coffee holding container spins. Will stop for 10 seconds then spins again. Continues until it is done. When done I just moved lever to release the coffee. Grounds will spin again during this process to get all coffee out of grounds. After a few minutes the machine beeps and it is ready to serve.I tested boldness by making up a cup of caramel ice coffee. Coffee is nice and strong. Can taste the coffee even with milk and caramel syrup added to it.When done I just emptied the grounds into a small baggie so it won't leak in my big garbage can. Hand cleaned all parts, put machine back together, and put on shelf until I make 7 batches again next week.Parts are dishwasher safe but I choose to hand wash them. Just my preference.I make up almost a gallon of cold brew a week. This machine will save me time and because I'll use less 3 cups less coffee grounds, will save me money. While spinning it does make noise but nothing loud or irritating.

Excellent "fast" cold brew machine
I love that this device takes only 30-45 minutes and it makes as good a cold brew as my 12-24 hour pour-and-wait method.Cleaning is fairly easy, but there are a lot of pieces and a few tight corners. At least it's all dishwasher safe. The filter-basket is also a little harder to clean out by hand than I'd like - I wish the top and bottom came off. The secondary filter in the carafe is usually not needed, but it's a "nice to have" and you could theoretically put a paper filter in there too if you're one of the people who finds coffee oils to be a problem. It's not as fast as a drip maker, but if you're making cold brew you're probably used to waiting a day (or buying wildly overpriced store-bought).The water:coffee ratio recommended by the machine is ~1:25, which is OK... but I'd recommend not filling the water up as much as they recommend. I can fit ~65 grams of coffee in the filter, and it holds 7 cups of water - so it tastes a little too watered down. You can't use much less water or the water won't fill to the right point in the filter basket, so experiment. I've started to fill the filter to 65 g of coffee, leave it open in the machine, pour water up to the point it covers the coffee, and then closing the filter up. It's a cup or so less water, and it makes it taste just strong enough for my taste. I always run it on the longest setting (~45 minutes, + ~5 minutes to drain).I make 1:11 ratio normally when I'm making cold brew by hand, but I end up watering it down a little bit. People generally like 1:12 to 1:18 for black coffee.

Cold brew when you want it
I'm reluctant to praise a product after just a month or so of use, since I don't know how well it will hold up over time. But this cold brewer seems to be solidly made, so with that dodge on durability, let me just say it's a very fine cold brew system. It does make good cold brew in 45 minutes as advertised. And Cuisinart has given some thought to cleaning: if you have a spray attachment on your sink, or know the trick of holding your finder over the tap to produce a spray, then spray away and it's clean as new in just a minute. I don't know what the brewer is made of, let's call it "coffee-proof metal and plastic". It couldn't be simpler to operate. I use cold water that I've kept in the fridge. For the grind, I started with the coarsest setting on my grinder (15) and stepped down until the brewer started clogging up slightly, then backed off one click (to 14). I've had the S-bucks cold brew, and this tastes as good, with or without cream. Cons, cons, I must have one con. Ok, it makes a bit of noise while it's running - but even though I'm sensitive to noise, I find I can ignore it. Happy now?

Great machine
been using it for over a year, pot of coffee (or thereabouts) per day. it eventually failed on me, bought another, and contacted customer support on the off chance they'd warranty it, they did, and sent me a replacement unit. keeping both; it's a good machine, flavour isn't as strong as regular cold brew, but it makes it much quicker. good idea to let it continue to work in the fridge, i pour mine into a jug in the fridge and let it sit.
