Fast and a perfect price. Will definitely fit a Henery X 30-30. I'm doing a dry fit today, no Blue Lock-Tite. I'll add comments after test firing.

Fits perfectly on the Ruger/ Marlin 1895 Guide rifle.
I recently suffered some frustration trying to mount a Vortex 1x6 Viper scope on my new Marlin.I used a well thought of mount and supposedly great rings. The mount and rings would not stay in place and shook loose.I bought an EGW base. It fits perfectly. Easy to install. It even comes with the bit. ( Save the guesswork and buy a torque wrench, or screwdriver in inch pounds) some Leupold rings ( with the cross stops) and I have a set up that doesn’t move.I really like the extra length of the mount. It is well made and works.

Almost worked
According to EGW this rail is supposed to work on a Marlin Camp 9 carbine. Sadly, it did not. The screw holes did not line up at all. That said, I have a Marlin 922 Magnum rifle that also needed a rail. The rail fit perfectly on the 922. I am not sure if EGW got their packaging wrong or maybe certain year Camp 9 rifles have the screw holes tapped in different spots. I would have given 5 stars if it worked on my Camp 9 but gave 4 stars because it only worked on my 922.

Great fit and finish
The rail mount was easy to install and my scope snapped right on the rail. Holes lined up perfect and the bit that came with my rail was a sweet extra.

As always, EGW products fail to disappoint and this one is no exception. Perfectly made, 4+1 screws (one for extra) and the bit that drives them. Installed on Rossi R95 45-70 20” as if it was made at the factory.EGW, as always, when you needs something done right
