Sturdy and useful
Nice size, not too heavy - great for propping up tall plants and securing trellises.

Perfect for my needs
I've been putting more plants in pots and needed more height than the wood scraps and old arrows I was using. My green peppers were also falling over so I used them there too! I like the strength and sturdiness with the metal interior and coated plastic. The tips make it pretty easy to get them into the ground and I didn't realize that the ridged portions on the stake keep my vinyl stretch tape from slipping down. I looked at a lot of options and these are what I chose. Four feet seemed long but remember you may use quite a bit of length underground. Pay attention to which end you're putting in the ground. ;)

Sturdy
These stakes are sturdy and seem to be of good quality. I needed something big so I bought the 6 footers, and 7/8 width. They give my heavy plant the structure it needed. I also used a couple on my tomato plants, with one caveat: the poles are too thick for me to use the little plastic clips that I usually use to fasten the vines to the stakes. I just used twine instead so it was not a problem; just an issue I hadn't considered in advance. I'm happy and plan to reorder these in different sizes for my garden.

Perfect
Have started using these poles to replace metal fence stakes. At a distance they are almost invisible so combined with deer dencing, neighbors don't see posts and fencing all throughout my gardens.
