HotSpring Spa Vanishing Act Calcium Remover 76029

Just installed a new Healthy Living hot tub a few weeks ago and the only major issue was my water hardness testing at 307 ppm utilizing the Hach B hardness test kit for an accurate reading. My returns are bottom center but located on the sides of the footwell about 4 inches above the bottom. I placed a booster seat in the bottom of the footwell so that the Vanishing Act bag would cover one of the returns. After 24 hours, the hardness dropped to 275 ppm. After 48 hours, it dropped again to 239 which is acceptable. Left it in another 12 hours and it dropped to 188 ppm at which time I removed the bag. Strongly recommend the product as it clearly reduced the hardness in my hot tub.

It works

When I took it out to use it, it was damp so I was immediately concerned about a used one being passed off as new. I put it in the hot tub, 12 hours in one side, 12 hours on the other and it is as if I didn’t put it in at all. No impact whatsoever. Will never buy online again. Buyer beware!

I like the ease of putting it directly into the hot tub over the pump.

Decided to try this to eliminate iron in our hot tub that was interfering with chlorine levels. Worked like a charm! We never saw a color change in the bag, but after 2 days we added chlorine to the tub and the level stayed normal. Great product, delivered quickly

Good product, does the job. And I find you can get more than 1 use out of it.
