Yup, fits my 1992 Toyota Pickup
Easy peasy installation. Tailgate locks so now bed is pretty secure since my tonneau cover requires the tailgate to be open in order to unlatch. Works as expected, looks like it's supposed to be there.

Installed this on my 1994 Toyota Pickup. (In case you're wondering, yes, these fit 1989-1994 Toyota Pickups just fine.) It works great, and really helps increase the security of the camper shell I put on my bed. Previously, even when the shell was locked, a thief could just yank on the tailgate handle and it would open from under the shell. Now they can't do so anymore, since the tailgate itself locks too. I'd definitely recommend this for the additional peace of mind.

Not Impressed! Do not recommend!
My wife just brought the PL5050 down to me from the US and I installed it on my 2004 Hilux. I must say that I'm not impressed with it and I have my concerns with how well it will work. First of all, when it arrived, the metal part that moves the rods in the tailgate was installed wrong and the handle did nothing when pulling it up. Therefore, I had to remove the rod from the handle and put the handle in above the metal part so that it would activate the rods and open the tailgate. QA fail from the start! I was also not expecting it to be made from such cheap plastic! It doesn't seem like it will hold up for long. Finally, when locked, the metal locking mechanism pushes out away from the plastic and leaves a space that a thief could use to pry the lock out of the handle completely with just a flathead screwdriver. For $70, I would have expected a MUCH better product! I'm not happy with this purchase at all, but unfortunately, I can't ship it back because I'm not returning to the USA anytime soon. (I'm feeling generous, and so that is why I'm giving it 2 stars. It does actually work for now - after fixing their manufacturing fail).

Meets but does not exceed expectations
Decent quality. Relatively solid construction. Lock secures as advertised. Be sure to retrofit the OEM nylon fittings for the latch rods; the plastic fittings provided are flimsy and cheap.

Will fit on 1992 Toyota Pickup
Bought this lock based on another reviewer stating that the lock would fit onto a 1992 Toyota truck. The lock installed with no issues. I do not understand why Pop and Lock doesn’t promote this product for older 1990s Toyota pickups.
