It tastes strongly of citrus and has the consistency of cold honey but this is a wonder drug for healing. It is especially good for people who are lactose intolerant or who need a low sugar diet. Pro-stat has a wide variety of special need nutrition products. I was very lucky to be told of AWC by the hospital nutritionist when I was having trouble healing after surgery. It worked wonders and proved to be a great help. I recommended this to my 93 year old mother who was trying to heal from an infection and it was a great help for her also, especially when coupled with a very high protein diet. It is not cheap but is worth the investment. I prefer the citrus flavor over the cherry or grape which I also tried but that is a personal preference. All flavors are very intense. Do be sure to buy a tube of the one ounce dose cups so you can get the right dose and can lick out the remaining product since it doesn't flow easily.

This is a must have if you have open wounds. It helps with healing and it settles the stomach from medicine.

If you can get past the very tart taste you will find your body repairing itself amazingly fast. My fingernails had split years ago, from acrylic nails. This healed my nail beds smooth and silky!My MIL had a gash to the bone on her calf. The hospital gave this to her twice daily and it healed in record time. It is amazing. If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it.

My 94 yo mom loves the taste when added to water and drinks more water now! Still working on open wound, so not sure yet if helping.

ProStat is an outstanding protein supplement, which is readily acceptable by most people. It has a significant amount of protein in just one ounce.

I needed the nutrition this offered, but I could not take it. The flavor is terrible. I tried gulping it down like medicine and always felt ill after. It is very gross.

I ordered this product for my mother who has stomach cancer. She doesn't eat well and recently fell. We mixed this with 8 oz water and she really seems to enjoy it. Too soon to tell how it works, but it seems to be giving her some more energy. The AWC or advanced wound care is a little more expensive than the regular Pro-Stat, but you can look up the difference on their webpage. It seems worth it. The shipping was a lot faster than the site tells you initially. We got it in two days. The reviews help. I didn't get the Vanilla because the reviews said it tasted awful.
