this works
I didn't realize that I was buying a micro sd to a full size sd card adapter . I thought it was micro to micro. My bad - no biggie - I just used an adapter card for the micro.I am using this so I can access the firmware in my 3d printer without having to take it apart to get to the micro sd card slot. This moves the card out from under the printer to wherever I want to place it. It works great!

Works well but was too big for my needs
I can't fault this product for it, but it was bigger than I needed it to be. I used it with my Ender 3 and the files online that use these adapters must use a smaller version of it. I made it work, but it was some effort. If you are trying to do what I did then find a smaller one of these (the black box part where the SD card goes) or make sure your STL file is going to fit this.

Doesn't work half the time
Update:. I am raising this to 4 stars for customer service. Although it was believed I may have been sent a faulty reader, I had already purchased a replacement from a different company. Vendor reached out and offered to make things right and settled on a refund as I had already purchased anither and didn't have a need for a second reader. The fact that they did this warrants me to provide a better feedback, since I am not sure if it was due to a faulty device or a shoddy product. However they did stand by their product and at least rectified it, but it's still a purchase at your own risk.I got this for my 3D Printer, specifically the Ender 3 Pro and this reader doesn't work half the time. It would switch from Media Inserted to Media Init Failed, which will cause my prints to stop halfway, causing the print to be useless since I can't continue to print where it failed. This caused me a lot of wasted filament, so do yourself a favor and get something else.

Not micro sd to micro sd, pay attention!
I mistakenly bought this micro sd to full size sd extension on accident after looking at a hand full of other ones. It works great, it just surprised me that I so easily bought the wrong thing. Works enough on my 3d printer that it can be hidden.

Does not work properly
My cable does not work properly. First off, the micro SD part the plugs into the printer does not stay in the printer, the slightest movement and the cable comes out. Secondly, I had to plug the micro SD part into the printer several times before it even registered the SD card then once bumped it lost connection. Lastly, once I did get it connected and everything was "working" (with me holding it in place) if I unplugged the SD card the info from the SD card still showed up on the printer (i.e. no SD card in the adapter but the info from the SD card was still on the Printer, plugging a different card in did not fix the problem). If this was simply one issue I would simply say I gat a bad cable, but with 3 separate issues I have to wonder what's going on with the quality control.
