Insightful literature on the inner workings of BPD, and trek towards mindfulness.
This book is, really more about the author, to whom delivers golden insights, of dealing with emotional instability and reaching for mindfulness. She pulls together a very foundational set of conceptual tools and appreciated her suggestions of questioning and evaluating one's values, so as to formulate an identity.Overall, superb perspective, and very helpful literature for the emotionally sensitive. I actually got it to better get into the mind of the borderline conflicted individuals in my life, of particular feminine variety.

BUY IT!
I HIGHLY suggest this book for anyone struggling with BPD or trying to understand and help someone with BPD. Very detailed, realistic, and honest explanations with examples. A great guide for understanding your own emotional and mental dynamics with various exercises to practice and use in daily life situations. Extremely helpful and filled with support, encouragement, and understanding. Definitely worth buying and reading multiple times to help yourself or others.

Great book for practicing DBT skills
Though it was unnecessarily gendered (there was nothing female-specific within the dbt skills presented), it was a great and accessible look at actually using the skills and real world examples and exercises to practice and absorb the information. It's a great alternative to those impersonal dbt workbooks that feel dry and condescending. However, I would say that the book built on information about DBT, and may not work as a standalone for everyone. For BPD sufferers, it's probably best used in tangent with a therapist or one of the aforementioned DBT workbooks.

BPD
Great book! It definitely feels like more of a newly diagnosed type book, but a great tool nonetheless. I really like Debbie and how she writes/explains things. It's easy to follow and her suggestions are great.

Changed my life
This is the most important book I've ever read. If you really are committed to changing, here are the tools to do so.No idea why the cover says it's only for girls--nothing inside the book is gender-specific

What a wonderful book on BPD!!
Wonderful book! My daughter was diagnosed with BPD and I have read nearly every book available in the subject. I found Debbie's book particularly helpful as she is in remission fromBPD and knows the difficult road involved for both families and BPD sufferers. She is insightful, warm and insightful. I highly recommend this book to families and those with BPD!!!

Decent book needs new title
So when buying this book, I wasn’t sure if it was meant for younger girls, girls in general or women. Reading it suggests it’s made for older women and maybe older teens. So the title is sort of misleading to use the term girls. They should say ladies instead. That being said, it’s an ok book. It has some content and clarity errors suggesting the book may not have been edited but is still full of helpful advice.
