Very well made book! Captured all aspects of showing respect in Filipino culture!
I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this book when I purchased it. Living in the US, I wanted my son to learn showing respect in the Filipino culture because I want him to know his cultural roots hence I took a chance for a couple of bucks and it exceeded my expectations! My 3 year old enjoyed looking at the illustrations and I love that it included a pronunciation guide. I love that it explains how showing respect is important in Filipino culture and the explanations provided will really help esp as he grows older to understand it more. I also love that it included other forms of respect such as listening to parents/ in school, sharing, waiting, etc. Another nice thing about this book is that it features different Filipino culture themes such as the sampaguita flowers, the Philippine flag colors, banig, etc. Overall very pleased with this book and would recommend it to my Filipino friends/ great gift idea to Filipino parents!

Important Book for School - A MUST for AAPI Month
As a special education teacher, I have always loved sharing this book with my students. Not only is it easy to read in English, there are subtitles that can teach students very simple phrases. It is a book that gets the message of respect across and has helped my classroom learn about Filipino culture.

Sweet Book to Teach a Different Language
The paper that this book is printed on seems a little cheap for the price I paid, but this book is so sweet. I’m glad I get to share with my children my mother’s culture through this medium.
