yes, it is the same quality as the original.

Q: does anyone have problem with the water not getting hot?

If you are not able to get hot water, the cartridge (handle) is tight or hard to rotate, you need to replace the cartridge. Turn off water to valve before start! Check behind escutchen to see if there are shut offs on valve before turning off the water to the whole house. The harder it is to rotate, the need for the puller is mandatory. If very old and tight , the whole thing will break inside and it sometimes takes 2+ hours to get all the pieces out. Call a plumber that has done this before and is aware of the headache it is to get it out sometimes. Remember time is money for a plumber.
