This fabric draped over your computer will protect you from EMF's, but to protect from an EMP, your computer will have to be completely encased in this fabric and placed inside a metal container.

Sorry it can not be washed and can not use iron for it. But you can use cloth to wipe it when get dirty and fold on the opposite to make the crease less.
