Q: How big is the loop will it go over a large hogs head?

No, the loop only goes around the snout never around the head. And yes it will work on large and small hogs as we have used it for tagging hogs of all sizes.

Q: Could be used for dogs?

I believe it could ,the wire will go small enough but care must be used as the wire could possibly injure the dog

Q: how large is the loop?

I never measured it but I've used it on pigs from 50 lbs up to 250 lbs and it works great.

Q: How tightly does it closes in (circumference) ? Can one catch a medium size iguana with it ?

When I pull it all the way back it leaves about a 2 inch circumference
