Good hiking socks are really important to look after your feet, especially as you get older. And good socks are hard to find. I prefer Merino wool socks, but there are many other brands equally good and a lot cheaper.

Ever.These are the crew sock version of the boot socks that made them famous. They are thick and very comfortable and my feet stay dry all day. You can wear them for two days straight if you have to and they still don't smell. These are the ideal size for my Thursday Captains or any 6 inch heritage/service/work boot.
