Very useful, great quality and utility
The canteen is really great to have, and the carrier is even better; I use one for my handheld 2m ham radio, with the antenna sticking out, and with plenty of storage for extra charged batteries, documentation, etc. Extremely useful on all fronts. I have several that have not even been taken out of their plastic shipping wrap yet.

Exactly what I was looking for, sorta.
Now that it is like 100 degrees with 1000% humidity, I have been consuming a LOT of water lately. I normally like to drink at least a gallon of water a day, and yes... I do go to the bathroom often. My old insulated 40oz bottle (which cost me an arm and a leg) had to be retired after dropping it one too many times. I wanted something that was lightweight, and held a minimum 40 oz of fluids, and something that was easy to carry or clip onto a carabiner. I didn't want to lug around a hydration pouch, because I just don't like drinking from a tube, and the cleaning and maintenance has really become a hassle for me. I still use it on long hikes (3L capacity). My buddy told me about 2 qt canteens, looked into it and decided to give it a try. This was cheap, holds 64oz (2qts, or a little less than 2ltrs), and has an insulation pouch which is quite neat. The product came in a completely sealed package, brand new, never used. As others have said, there was a slight... smell. Hard to describe. Kind of like a plastic/industrial smell to it? But after washing and rinsing it out with soap and water, and letting it dry, it got the smell out. Been using it all day today, and its easy to track how much I drink throughout the day.It comes with its own shoulder strap. Here's my one and only complaint, and it is more of a personal choice. I look kind of like a dork wearing this. I'm not military, or a vet, or law enforcement. This was just very practical. But wearing it makes me look like brute trying to don a tactical man-bag. But boy, is it convenient to just be able to swing this around, take a sip, and swing it back. Its not as dorky as walking around with a bladder, and it is definitely more convenient than carrying around a bottle everywhere.I guess, I'm getting at that age... almost middle-aged... where I prefer function over fashion. Might as well invest in some white shin socks and rocking those with sandals, while tucking in my t-shirt into my jean shorts. Keeping all my valuables in my fanny pack, and have a belt clip/holder for my cellphone...Back to the review. Instead of paying $$ for a brand name insulated water bottle, I got this for half the price, and is well worth it in my opinion.

No Leaking! Yay!
This standard-issue 2-qt canteen (with carrier and strap) does NOT leak! It has this stopper thing in the cap, which I assume prevents leaking. Our old canteen without the stopper did leak. As this is a standardized product, you can always buy a new carrier or strap online or from an Army surplus store if you need to, or a new "bladder" (the plastic canteen itself ... though be careful to buy one from this vendor if possible as that stopper in the cap saves the day). We go on long day hikes, up to 10 miles, when on vacations, and this size canteen is perfect for such hikes in order to stay hydrated. I'm very happy with this canteen!

Practical, could use some upgrades.
I work in landscape maintenance in Florida and am a profuse sweater. Constant hydration is absolutely essential in conditions where the heat indexes are typically 100 degrees+ . I carry a backpack blower, so my camelback is not a feasible option. This canteen is ideal in terms of simplicity and carrying capacity. I will not complain. In the matter of upgrades: While the fleece insulation is effective, it is also exposed and vulnerable to the collection of the dirt and debris that come with the job. I don't know how well it will launder. An additional lining would be nice. The carrying strap is also functional, but some padding would also be nice. Again, no real complaints; I am happy to have it. Today I refilled it no less than three times over the course of an eight hour shift.

Perfect addition!
What a perfect addition to my desert camo Marine backpack. Not only was this a great deal it is military grade and if it’s good enough for the military it definitely is good enough for me. This comes with everything you need including the Alice Clips to attach to your molle gear and with the shoulder strap as well. The collapsible bottle seals water tight and holds 2 quarts of liquid rather than 1 like the typical canteen. From Ozark Outdoorz I highly recommend this set you won’t regret it!“”

Pouch is great, you can put a bit of water on ...
Grew up in Boy Scouts with this as my preferred carry for larger amounts of water. When empty can collapse a bit to save on space and is very light. Walls seems too thin but I haven't had it break on me yet. Especially when used with the cover, very little chance of wearing through any of the side walls. Pouch is great, you can put a bit of water on it to evaporate and help keep the water cool. Even without wetting the cover it helps keep it cool enough to notice a difference when drinking. Not as great temperature retaining wise as a vacuum bottle but is cheaper, less weight/space, and more versatileNow this works as my larger water carrier and also I prefer to freeze half filled with water and put in cold water before a hike. Has kept the ice for 4 hours on a hot day in the summer. Left half filled and frozen in the freezer for 2 months when I forgot about it. No excess wear and tear noticed. Also works awesome as an ice pack.
