Smittybilt SRC Front Stinger Bumper for Jeep TJ /YJ

Great bumper! Fit perfectly and looks awesome! I purchased this on November 9th 2015 and still love it. As you can see from the pictures I have put this bumper on two jeep TJ's. One was a 99 and the other is a 06. Sadly i totaled my 99 when a car hit my rear corner panel during a snowstorm causing me to fishtail and slam into a concrete barrier at about 60mph. I fully believe if I did not have this bumper i would have been much more hurt after the accident. Due to the bumpers thickness and strength, the frame became the weak point and took the full force of the crash causing the frame to bend beyond repair. Surprisingly the bumper was not badly damaged at all even though it is what contacted the barrier. Once i bought my new to me 2006 jeep TJ wrangler the first thing I did was throw this bumper on it. All I needed was new grade 8 bolts since mine were sheared off in the accident and a rubber mallet to put it on. I did my best to show the damage that was caused by the accident (as seen on the silver jeep) but as you can see, with a little sanding and painting this thing will look brand new!

Well-packed. Smittybilt 76521 Stinger fit 06 TJ Rubicon perfectly. I was able to drill 2 holes near each outer corner to mount my factory Rubicon (Hella) fog loghts (see photo). There is enough room if the factory tow hooks are left off (I'll keep a 3/4" shackle in the tool box to use on the tabs welded to the front of the bumper). The wires even reached on the driver side; the passenger side I spliced about an inch longer. I used 2 shorter top bolts (1/2-13 x1.5"; grade 8) for the front hole on each side. I used original T55 Torx long bolts in the rear holes. I added grade 8 flat washers under the top bolts. My main purpose is to protect the radiator from deer / elk strikes. Stinger should do this well. It's made from good, tough steel, as witnessed by the effort necessary to drill the holes for the lights. I don't have any miles on it yet, but the powdercoat looks good from the factory. Actually a nicer bumper than I expected. So far I am very pleased with this purchase!

Bumper came quick and absolutely adds a much more aggressive look to the Jeep compared to stock bumper. I also purchased the matching winch plate which came with replacement hardware. If you are just going to install the bumper I would suggest making a trip to the hardware and get some replacement grade 8 bolts to replace factory torx. Bumper is solid with what seems like a quality powder coat finish. Install is straight forward. It fit snug on my TJ and needed to be massaged into place with a hammer and piece of wood. Overall very impressed for the cost.

Super easy install, took longer to get the old bumper off with some PB blaster. Didn't come with the shackles as shown in the photos though, gonna email the company about that.

Another amazing product from smitty bilt. when it arrived if was very well packaged. When I took it out of the box I was very impressed with the quality of the bumper, nice thick metal, good paint job and very clean. When I installed it, therewas no issues, the holes lined up perfectly and the bumper is created with ground clearence in mind. I had to use a rubber mallet to get it on. It worked with my parents towing setup for behind the rv. Very happy with my purchase and will recommend to anyone.

Amazon got the best price for this bumper if you catch it on sale and free shipping too.I got it for a few weeks now and i'm still at awe with how it changed the appearance of my Jeep.Its actually well built for a Smitty brand.I did have to make 2 of the mounting hole larger so i can slide the bolt to the frame.Other than that the install was easy as can be.You wont be dissapointed with this bumper.I paid 190 for it and i dont think there's even a comparable bumper w/stinger at that price range.

Took me 30 minutes total to pull my old bumper off my TJ and put this one on by myself. Fit perfect and the look I wanted
