When I put a cup on it, it doesn't stick to the cup and then fall on the floor like other coasters.

These are nice heavy coasters, made of sandstone. They are nice and thick, and we love the beautiful monogramed "M" on it. The monogram ink is dark brown with light brown as a secondary fill in color. In the picture, it appears black. The coasters do not appear to absorb liquid very well where there is heavy use of ink. This may or may not go away over time, as we have only owned these for a few weeks. That is also why I'm giving these a 4 instead of a 5 star rating. If the heavily inked sections of the coasters do start absorbing, I will change the rating to 5 stars. The coasters have a nice cork backing so you don't have to worry about scratching your furniture. I'm expecting a long life out of these, because in the two weeks we have owned them, unless your abusing them, there is really no way for them to break under normal use. I do believe these could break easily being sandstone, but like I stated, under normal use, I can't see them breaking. Glad we purchased.

They look great on the dinning room table!

Three of the four are the correct size while the 4th is larger, I don't want to return the set because I like them but the larger one nearly doesn't fit in the holder. If it wasn't for this I'd give them a much better rating. I guess I'll have to return them and reorder?UPDATE - I reached out to Thirstystone directly and Radawn B. took care of the problem. They shipped me another set, and when I asked what to do with the originals they said "Keep them, you'll never know when you may need them." The replacements came today and they look great. I also figured I would take a picture of the first and replacement set stacked so you could see the difference. It appears my first set was a bit of a mess, but had it not been for the oversized one not fitting properly in the holder I would have been happy with them.I love the product and the company was friendly, responsive and made it right, bumped to 5 stars!

I wanted something that would soak up all the sweat dripping off my cup when I'm at the computer. This works perfectly and doesn't pool on top.I had an unfortunate accident when I put it on the hood of my car when loading up to go to work. I forgot it and it went flying off at the first stop I had to make. I found it at the side of the road and there was only a small chip along the edge. I'd say that's very durable!
