I was skeptical... but it's the real deal. Incredible!
I don't even hunt. Originally I bought these almost as a challenge because I couldn't believe the bluetooth connection actually worked with my phone 450 feet away. I was expecting to take advantage of Amazon's generous return policy because it was hard to believe that this actually works but it's legit. Our house has a pretty large backyard and I've always wanted to be able to have surround sound bluetooth speakers in a specific spot to go along with a projection screen for outdoor movie nights but I've never found speakers that could reach the distance, let alone allow for true Dolby surround sound. I bought two of these and they actually do it! I'm not sure what technology they're using to get this because the furthest I could find before was about 100 feet. This is 4.5X that distance! I know because I legitimately walked the distance just to make sure! Now, I did discover that you HAVE to maintain a direct line with the speakers otherwise they stopped working after maybe 120-130 feet. So don't buy these if you need something that will reach that far unless it's out in the open. But if you're in need of a bluetooth speaker that legitimately extends wayyy beyond a normal distance out in the open, this is the ONLY option. Hope this helps!

Worked 2 times
I bought this in August of 2024 for $100. I see they now sell it for half price. Used it a total of 2 times before it broke. The unit did work good the 1st couple of times though. Now it just shuts off unless the volume is on low. Their call app kinda sucks. You can find better and longer calls on youtube. Sound quality is poor but it still would call animals in. Its a shame that it just didn't last longer.

Battery compartment and volume control
What I like about the unit is that it has two speakers at each end. The on-off button is excellent. The unit should not be turned on by accident while traveling. The water proofing of the unit it super. What I don't like about the unit is two fold.First there is no volume control on the unit. I know that volume can be controlled via the phone, but for those small volume bird songs, a control to increase the volume on the unit would be great. The second negative is: The unit has a battery case that has to be removed to change the 4 AA batteries. It is very difficult to do this when the battery case is connected to the main unit with very short electrical wires. Having "at least" one more inch to length of the wires would help. To solve this problem, having a rechargeable battery located within the unit that could be charged via a USB connection would greatly improve this product.

Competes with Fox Pro at one third the cost
This is an easy to use alternative to the very expensive calls. I own a Fox Pro and the control unit stopped working. The control unit alone was priced higher than this call and I prefer the Blue Tooth options which gives me far more sounds. It takes a little practice to put together call lists, and the speaker has a minor hiss to it, but for the price, I could not have done better.

Great Long Range Speaker
I'm not a huge hunter, but this is a great speaker for any type of use! I've used it around the house, on the golf course, and have no trouble staying connected to the speaker even when I walk a good ways away with my phone. Great audio quality as well!

No good
I was excited about this purchase. I used it for the first time today hunting and there was no Bluetooth at 40 ft. So I moved it closer to 30ft and still nothing. To make a long story short, I ended up HOLDING IT IN MY HAND. This was a HUGE disappointment. Coyote sounds on the APP are so so and work without cell service as long as you download them ahead of time. The App has about any animal sound you can imagine which is cool. Speaker is pretty loud in a quiet woods.

The premium app access is the best part of this purchase; not the speaker
The media could not be loaded. Note: In the video, I had the volume low to start when the lady announced power on/bluetooth connected. Then, I increased (via phone) after 3 seconds of calls. You can hear that volume increase clearly. It was max volume the rest of the video. Pressed the call mode button on the speaker near the end. No audible difference. The iHunt Game Call (PHANTOM 150) Speaker boasts 150 Yard Line of Sight Connection, Up to 750 Calls for 50 Species and 10 hours play time. The speaker has an anti-slip, waterproof coating and has a convenient eye bolt connector so the speaker can be hung. It requires 4AA batteries (not provided). The run time is advertised to be 10 hours. I haven’t used it enough to fully drain the batteries yet so can’t verify total run time at this point. In my experience, the range falls short. Line of sight, of course, means zero obstacles. This is not realistic in any hunt I’ve been on. With brand new batteries, at 50 yards, the speaker would static out when you moved your phone affecting bluetooth connection. This means, you don’t want to move your phone AT ALL when the speaker is playing the calls. This was especially problematic if you maxed your speaker volume. When your bluetooth link struggles, loud static pops on the speaker. Now, lets talk about volume. The volume on the Phantom 150 speaker is not as loud as other premium bluetooth speakers I have used. The volume doesn’t carry enough distance to really ‘call in’ the game. The only game that are going to hear it, will be game that are already very nearby. I’d like the sound to carry at least 3/4 mile to actually ‘call in’ the game. I owned another caller in the past that was three times as loud and could actually call in game from 1.25 miles away. So, I experimented with another premium bluetooth speaker that I had on hand. I was able to play the calls from the iHunt app on the non-Phantom 150 speaker and with much better volume. In fact, I got way more volume, and ultimately sound distance. This brings me to the Game Call Mode button on the front of the iHunt Phantom 150. It’s not explained in the advertisement or instructions short of, “The 150 offers an audio mode which allows it to function the same as a regular bluetooth speaker…” I have experimented quite a bit trying to figure out this button. Audibly, I couldn’t tell much difference. So, I tested it against a decibel meter and it is actually louder on game mode by 10 decibels but still nearly unnoticeable to my ear.My final gripe about the Phantom 150 speaker is when powering on the speaker: A female voice says “power on” then, a few seconds later “pair success” (I think). Both are pretty choppy so you don’t hear the full phrase. Powering off: A female voice says “power off”. Honestly, this is a terrible feature on a hunting speaker. Any game in the near vicinity are now long gone. It would’ve been more appropriate to simply allow the LED indicator lights to let me know it’s on/off and paired. I am hunting after all, not scaring! The link button allowing pairing of a second speaker is actually a nice feature. This can certainly allow for better range to widen or lengthen your hunt area. But again, you are limited to where your phone has to be, and STAY, so you don’t cause any static when the bluetooth struggles to stay connected.Overall, What you get with this Phantom 150 speaker that is actually more valuable than the speaker itself (in my opinion), is a code to access the game calls within the iHunt app. The code is located in the battery compartment of the speaker. You will download the iHunt app (free) to your phone. Link your phone with the speaker via bluetooth to transmit your animal calls. The iHunt app is free, has 12 free animal categories already, and does function without the Phantom 150 speaker. The purchase of this Phantom 150 speaker provides the code to unlock the app’s premium features to include 21 additional animal categories, with a plethora of calls within each category, as well as silence mode for adding silent pauses between calls in your custom playlists. It has a wide variety of big game and prey animals to choose from and several calls in each animal category. The noticeable animal that’s missing is a cougar. Why is there no cougar?Overall, the app is worthy of the price. It has an abundance of calls and the customized recording feature is awesome. Unfortunately, the speaker is not. There’s a ton of room for improvement in this Phantom 150 speaker.
