Great for outside use
Works great, doesn’t use up battery fast has great range of visibility and isn’t too heavy.

Good quality build
Seems like a nicely built flashlight. Many reviews talk about battery life, but I am using this to show off wood that glows under blacklight when at craft fairs selling my wares so it's not going to be used a lot. It does take 6 AA batteries, which is quite a bit, but at least it's a popular battery size! It seems to work well, even in the kitchen with the lights on! I would have no problem buying another one if I find I need it

Powerful black light
We have three dogs and a cat, and even though everyone is (theoretically) potty trained, we rarely get through a week without some kind of mess. Often, it's hard to track down the source of a suspicious odor, and I originally started looking for a black light flashlight to help with those searches. After reading the reviews for some of the most popular and least expensive black lights on Amazon, my impression was that many were underpowered. I wanted to be able to shine a light into a room and cover ground efficiently, not crawl around on the floor with a tiny flashlight that could only illuminate a few square inches at a time. That's the main reason I opted for the KOBRA.Although we don't plan to use the KOBRA outside the house, I like the fact that it's ruggedly built. Having grown up in an era when people used flashlights all the time (before flashlights were built into our cellphones!) I know the difference between a cheap flimsy flashlight and one that's built to last, and I'm glad I paid a few extra dollars for the latter.

Decent light, but so-so at finding urine.
This is a decent UV flashlight. I can't say much about the battery life other than that it hasn't died on me yet, but longevity seems okay. The housing is solid with a little heft, so I don't feel like it would just break if I dropped it, and there's a wrist strap just in case. The power switch is convenient, right by the thumb instead of at the bottom of the base like some flashlights have. The strength of the light itself is where it's a bit weaker, though. I bought this to help find spots where my cat had urinated on my carpets. Unfortunately, even in a dark room, it just doesn't produce enough contrast for me to easily identify urine spots unless I'm holding the light *exactly* the right distance from the floor. The reason distance matters is that the bulbs have a fair bit of directionality, resulting in a brighter circle of light in the middle of the beam that falls off very quickly outside of that spot. But that circle is not much different in color than the urine glow I'm looking for, so having the flashlight too close to the ground makes it tough to tell the beam from a urine spot. But if I hold it further away, the light diffuses so quickly that there's just not enough power to see urine that way either unless, again, I'm holding it at _exactly_ the right distance from the floor. The carpet in my house is a pale blue though,so it's also possible the darker carpet just makes it tougher for the light to work effectively. Regardless, the light just hasn't been very effective for me at finding urine. It's overall a decent flashlight, it just wasn't quite up to the particular task I wanted it to do.Still, I pulled it out at Halloween, and it was great at supercharging glow-in-the-dark items and making white clothing shine at night.(If you're wondering what I did for the urine, I bought a larger uv light bar from the hardware store instead. It does a good job but is much less portable.)

My cat is a jerk
Works great, get ready to cry. I didn't know my cat hated me until this light came into my life. It shows a lot more than I thought it would especially in darker rooms, definately worth the expense. I love that I can see my cleaned surface is CLEAN once dry.My cat may be naughty, and doesn't understand that Santa is watching yet I still love her. Pic of naughty cat included.

Awesome
Awesome light. It is shocking when you use a black light like this one to see how clean you think you’re getting things, like I said shocked . I originally purchased it so that I could properly clean where my old dog had accidents. Well this light makes it very easy to find where my dog urinated. It also shows every bit of I guess biologic, matter that was on my kitchen cupboards that was not visible to the naked eye. I also think if you hire people to clean this light will truly show how well they did. Just an FYI for those who have the linoleum and hardwood floors it’s very difficult to see anything on those surfaces. Any fabric ,Carpet, and cabinet it works great ,beyond what I expected.

Starts off great...
I got this device after purchasing some of the cheaper blacklights which are horrendous. They cast a meager light, chew through batteries and fail physically due to poor quality.I upped my purchase to this model which blew me away out-of-the-box. BRIGHT! I could see every scorpion in my neighborhood (exaggerating but it was truly astounding). And talk about chewing up batteries - this unit takes 6 AA's at a time. And since I like to feed it the lion batteries, that's not trivial. Then over time this thing started losing it's usefulness. First it would get VERY hot to the touch. Then it slowly lost it's brightness as the LED's failed over time. It's ready for the trash heap as fresh batteries show this one is worse than one of the "cheaper" ones.I have yet to find a good quality blacklight. This one made it from end of May to mid-August. FAIL.

Never could I imagine the gifts my puppy had left for me.
Does what it says - showed me all the things my puppy didn’t want me to see. Great tool for that purpose.
