It's a beautiful Writing instrument.
It's beautiful. It writes. It's as expected. You're paying more for the 175th Anniversary edition. There are other Cross pens that are cheaper and will still deliver the same writing experience, but not as beautiful.

Poor packaging and packaging poorly cared for before shipping.
I purchased this pen new... the shipping package was fully intact, the inner packaging was torn and partially crushed and the pen cradle was dusty and scuffed. The Pen is beautiful and I will keep it, however, the packaging is in poor condition and not of gift quality. Pen is new but the packaging appears to have been bumped about for years.... not exactly new or pristine.
