Slightly disappointed
The book is an excellent read but to explain the 24 forms of Tai chi without illustration I think is an oversight of the author and the publisher

Terrible-no pictures or figures
Bought to supplement a video course. Poorly written descriptions of the positions in the short form are impossible to follow without pictures or figures. I have been practicing after learning through the video series, and despite knowing what the movements should look like, I can’t see how the descriptions in the book make any sense, Added nothing to my understanding of tai chi, no value whatsoever as a stand alone book, and adds no insight to someone who has learned from another source. You can’t learnable physical skill/sport from a book, but how do you write a book attempting to teach movement with out any diagrams/ photos? Don’t waste your money
