And the bass is good! I mainly got these to go with the Sony NW-S755 to complete the package as I didn't have the NC earbuds this Walkman was designed for. The Sony MDREX58V headphones I was using before I thought were great, but the bass on these is much better. I had to readjust the equalizers on the Walkman for the difference.The NC only works on certain Japanese models, the NW-S750 series being one. These Walkmans are only in Japanese with no other language. If you don't have one of these Noise Cancellation models from Japan, then I would look for other earbuds as the NC won't work even though you can use them on standard audio jack players. The jacks have 5 contacts instead of the normal 3 to make contacts for the microphone in each earbud.The earbuds come with 3 sizes of adapters so you can get a good seal. They also provide a 5-contact extension as the wire length is short. The length is perfect for a shirt pocket or arm fastener on the left side. The earbud wires are staggered in length with the left bud being shorter.The combination of the isolation from the silicon ear seals and the active cancellation really cuts out extraneous noise. The NW-S755 has 3 choices of cancellation: train/bus; airplane; and room. I use room in my office and they work great. I don't notice any frequency dropout or hear any hiss. I didn't realize how much sound made it through the seals until I turned on the NC, but I mainly got them to listen to music on long flights, which remains to be tested.

These in-ear headphones can replace the noise canceling headphones bundled with Walkmans that support noise canceling. This headphone is slightly different than the bundled headphones in that these have a shorter cable from the headphones to the mini plug. An extension cable is also included that provides length to the Walkman.The mini plug of these headphones have additional contact surfaces for the noise canceling input and are not standard stereo mini plugs. Make sure that your Walkman supports noise canceling before ordering these. The A Series of Walkman avaialble in the USA does not support noise canceling and these will not work for that version of the Walkman. The Japanese A Series Walkman does support noise canceling, and these headphones will work with this version.

noise cancelation is good. nut nothing special. sound quality and clarity are also good. but nothing jumps out so that u can say wow!

I ride a Harley Davidson with pipes that is very loud. Others have said that they don't work unless you use them on a Sony product. My phone is not a Sony product and it seems to do very well keeping the noise out! I've used it in a plane and on my bike and it works very well for me. They are also comfortable
