Ride Share Friendly/Best Gizmo Ever!
I had my right ankle replaced, so I used this gizmo to drive Uber/Lyft full time (6-8 hours/day) for two months until I no longer needed to wear a boot. I started using them just one week after surgery, which allowed me to earn an income while still on crutches. The devise works really well and I was surprised with how easy it was to learn to use. I was worried because I’m a bit dyslexic, but it only took maybe 5-10 minutes of practice until I felt comfortable taking an Uber rider. I do recommend to practice slamming the brake because your brain will send your foot to the brake pedal before your hand for the first one or two times. I became especially vigilant while using these, to avoid the need to slam on the brakes. Lower speed, longer following distance, scan sidewalks and roadways, etc. It’s a breeze to install. I used the sticks with my left hand while steering with the right. None of my riders noticed the device, but my right shoulder became sore from doing most of the steering for many hours of the day.I highly recommend this device.

I'm driving again
There is a learning curve. Go practice in a empty lot for awhile. Don't get lazy with it. Don't try multitasking. You need to constantly hold it in right hand so get used to rolling down windows or taking a drink of water at red lights. Once you've mastered it you'll have your freedom again. Worth every single penny!

DANGER
The cost of your car is not worth this. Your life is at risk! I had this for 3 years. I'm a double amputate. The height adjustment failed. The attachment for the pedals remained secure. When the height fell down I lost control of the breakIt went below my knee. And since each pole is connected, hitting the break also pressed the gas. I was on a small street so I pushed the car on the curb to slow down but the car jumped the curb I hit the sidewalk and the hill by the sidewalk stopped my car. I was always scared of this being a possibility. If. I had one limb this would have been better safety wise. But if you have no legs this is dangerous. I have always checked the bottom to make sure it was tight, but I didn't think the height would fall.

Very durable and easy to install
My son and I installed the unit in September of this year. I have driven about 3500 miles and use many times and did not screw up. It was either pay 160 bucks for that or $2000 for ones done professionally

They work very well, BUT...
These driving sticks work very well, and i was able to install them in 10 mins. w/o much hassle. My learning curve was about 15 mins. for local roads, then another 15 mins. for highway use. While i feel very comfortable using them, every now and again, they get 'caught up' and i'd have to react very quickly to avoid an accident. After using them for 20-30 hours, i believe they will never be more than 'B' as far as safety is concerned (while driving with my feet i believe i get an 'A' for no accidents over past 20 years.[I definitely DO NOT recommend them for such things as picking up kids at a school, driving in heavy rain or another environment where a 'slip' could be tragic]

This works!
I only needed the brake extension. Separating the two parts was easy as was installing the brake extension. This solved all my braking problems. I now drive and brake with full confidence which was my goal.I keep my left hand on the handle most of the time while driving. I installed a spinner on the steering wheel which gives me the control I want for turning. I recommend both products very highly.
