Lightweight short-scale electric guitar. Paul Gilbert,PGMM11.
1st impressions: love the weight of this guitar and it has tons of potential! Problems: Staying in tune, Nut, String Trees & Tuners are cheap and need upgrades. 11 to 50 strings help. Will update review after upgrades. UPDATE: New Tuners, Graphtec Trees, with D'Addario Half-Round 10 x 46 Strings, sounding pretty great.Thank you Paul Gilbert!

Frets so easily
I just played this at one of the chain music stores and compared it to 3/4 size Fender and Jackson guitars. This Ibanez blew those away. It played sooooo much easier than them. No comparison. Maybe Ibanez sets them up better at the factory - who knows but even if that explains it, who wants to spend time setting up their guitar when you could be playing. I was concerned about the lack of a tone knob but found that the amp can fine tune the tone better than a tone know on the guitar anyway. I believe it has a 5 position pick up switch which also allows for some tone refinement. I've decided to get one. The one at the store had a small chunk out of the headstock so I'd be inclined to order on BUT I wouldn't know if it would be set up as well. I just wish the thing wasn't so damn ugly...
