Carry your "long lens" camera AND your 15" MacBook no problem!
I travel. I bring my camera and my laptop (and other stuff). I need something I can carry on a plane that holds my stuff, isn't too bulky, and is decent quality. I've used Nikon's and Canon's basic DSLR bags. I even bought an Evecase DSLR backpack. But none of them compares to this amazing "Everyday Messenger" bag from Peak Design. The bag is functional: It carries my 15" MacBook Pro, and my Canon 80D with battery grip AND 70-200mm F2.8 attached--plus other lenses and stuff). The magnetic buckle thing on the front is almost futuristic. And it's got loads of nooks and crannies to store stuff--and keep it organized at the same time. One of the best functional things about the bag are the "origami" dividers in the main compartment. You have to see them to understand--but they're very sturdy--they fold in various ways to accommodate different types of gear, and use a velcro-like attachment to hold them in place. And that shoulder strap is something else. I watched Peak Design's YouTube video to "see" all the ways that strap can be adjusted--and I was blown away. My old Canon camera bag used Velcro to secure the edges of the top flap to the main bag. When shooting solemn events, I had to make sure I didn't need to switch a lens--because to open that bag would have required a bunch of very loud Velcro ripping sounds. The Everyday Messenger has a quiet top zipper that opens into the main compartment--so you don't even have to open the top flap! But if you need the top flap open, just tug on the little buckle catch thingy--and release it from the magnetic "ladder" underneath--and silently open the bag. So nice...The top flap has an area for you to insert one leg of a folded tripod--and the bag comes with a wrist bracelet sized rubber band to help lock it in place. There's a slim pocket just inside the main compartment lined in a soft material where you can put your smartphone. They even color coded (red and green) some of the inside pockets so you can put fully charged batteries in green pockets, and if a battery dies on a shoot--just put it in a red pocket so you'll know which is which. Or--use them for full memory cards vs empty memory cards. Whatever you need. Oh--and those color coded pockets have an elastic edge to them to help "hold on" to the contents. The bag is stylish: I've received compliments on the bag itself, with people commenting not only about the looks of the bag, but also about the "feel" and "texture" of it. It's slimmer than some of the bulkier camera bags I've owned--which makes it more discreet, and easier to walk around with. I'm not afraid I'm going to bang it into someone or something when I've got it slung over my shoulder. (I slide the adjustable shoulder strap into it's "shortest" position, I can sling the bag around to my back.) Peak Design uses a high-density foam to protect the contents of the bag--so its walls and flaps are slimmer than other bags--which adds to its overall slimness.Overall, I'm very pleased with this bag--I recommend it to anyone who needs to pack around their camera with long lens attached--and a 15" MacBook Pro. ACHTUNG!!! FALSCHES PRODUKT!!!
